Ok it's made by Alfa, Alfa is the number 1 brick manufacturer in Italy. They decided that they should start making ovens as well, this model is duel fuel, standard wood or gas, well here you go imported from Italy. You can order from www.Thebbqhq.com and they can ship or drop ship to you. I told Eric about RDP and hopefully he joins, really cool guy and lots of knowledge about smoking (obviously).View attachment 793370

How hot can the GMG get up to? The Louisiana Griller can get up to 600 or so degrees. High enough to actually grill.x2 on GMG. Got mine working right now. Been solid for like 4 years now.

If you are using a Pellet Grill above 400, I would just use a regular grill. We have both a smoker and a regular propane grill. When you use a pellet grill on high temps, it burns through pellets and you dont get much smoke flavor anyway. How hot can the GMG get up to? The Louisiana Griller can get up to 600 or so degrees. I think 500....cant remember....never had a hard time grilling on it. Matter of fact....I'm not a low and slow guy as much as most are. I dont have time for dat shit. I cook higher and less time and still get good results. How hot can the GMG get up to? The Louisiana Griller can get up to 600 or so degrees. High enough to actually grill.

I go back and forth with both too.....sometimes I just like the flavor of chargrill....sometimes I smoke for a lil....then grill on propane to finish. When I use my GMG to grill like steaks or a tri tip....I'll preheat it to 500 WITH a smoker box of pellets up top too....the 500 will get the pellets in the box smoldering....then I'll drop down to 400-425...I'll get a light sear on the meat... but only have to cook for maybe an hour and the smoke from the box is good enough. If you are using a Pellet Grill above 400, I would just use a regular grill. That's the thing, I really don't want to have multiple grills. I really love a New York strip that is seared over really high heat for 3 minutes a side. Can't do that at 4 to 500 degrees. I mean it'll cook it, and it'll be tastey, but it's not gonna seat it like that and that quick. If you are using a Pellet Grill above 400, I would just use a regular grill. The new GMGs have a plate that you can adjust to allow flame through....I dont have it on mine....but I'd imagine it would help with more of a sear.....you'd be surprised what the GMG will do at full blast. I sear my steaks on the highest...good for me. But again..I still go back and forth between the pellet grill and propane. That's the thing, I really don't want to have multiple grills.
