I need to build a soffit, bar light over the bar, been having all kinds of I deas, but nothing that stuck...I could frame it out as a soffit with can led's...and was thinking of getting a big galvanized feed trough and making a light fixture out of it... wanna do something with the farm house theme my wife has going...don't really wanna do pendants... but maybe...whacha got?

I had this made for over our conf table 14"W x 24"T x 9'L It has a 8ft LED strip fixture in it with a prismatic lens on bottom, hung with cable through old block tackle pullys. Have some in bullpen area that are 20ft length hung with chain also.

I've seen some real interesting fencing and gates done with w combo of wood and corrugated siding. I think something with this concept would look better and more interesting than a watering trough --- here's an example, just to give you an idea of the look.

If you want something decorative, unlimited possibilities...skies the limit.

If want something easy, but different, DON'T use standard "open trim" 4" or 6" downlights...Instead, use some of the new, small pinhole, LED's as shown in attached image.

Using pinholes, you don't see the lamp and the light seems to come out of nowhere. Very cool and no glare, and countertop material will "pop"...very nice if using quartz or other interesting counter materials.

If you look closely at high end bar and lounges, you will see a lot of pinhole fixtures.

Mason jars w Edison bulbs, or just exposed Edison bulbs like above, or old gas lantern style w led flame bulbs. Led flame bulbs are frickin nuts seen on house outside of garage and they were decently bright and the flame truly looked like a flame
