My choice is the quadzilla
well, I was only 7....back around 1960 we had the "tote goat"..........pretty dam scary for a 10 year old kid.
I know at least 3 people that have broken their backs in those, one of them being my mom. If you land on the rear wheels just the right way, the shit suspension doesn't suck it up and compresses your vertebrae.I vote the Honda pilot
What year? What shape is it in?We still own a Honda 250R Quad if someone is interested in buying one.
The only person I knew that had one was a paraplegic...hand controls made sense, and it was enough for him to roll the dunes again. Sometime around 96 or so, me and a buddy put together a Honda Accord powered automatic 4 seater with him. Same thing, shit rear suspension...but he could roll the dunes with his wife and baby girl.I know at least 3 people that have broken their backs in those, one of them being my mom. banshee hands down.
they are so heavily modded its crazy.
friend of mine builds motors for them, he has done reverse cylinders (exhaust exits under the seat) and nitro, alcohol, fuel injected. nitrous and more.
Had the MRD fuel injection on my Wave raider years ago. The thing was turnkey reliable and never any issues once it was dialed in. I was impressed as all hell.I have never seen anyone successfully run fuel injection on a banshee. What is your buddies name by chance?

@bldrinker forgive me for forgetting but who are you? Were you there the night I raced my 250R against that banshee on I Ave. I forget his name. The guy had the blue van in high school and had the house on i and Fairburn?
Yes Jeff Remke that’s his name.@bldrinker forgive me for forgetting but who are you?
You are taking about Jeff
The Banshe had a good motor , but the frame, geometry, and suspension sucked. They were terrible in whoops and jumps. the Honda had a great overall setup, but down on power. The 500 did everything well and the motor was the best of the lot. ( in stock form).
Oh shit. Yeah how you doing Mike?Yes Jeff Remke that’s his name.
Mike Evensen
Good pull. I remember dumping my life savings on an Odyssey, then my pops bought my sister one as well. I was probably 10. We stripped them both, did the pipes, tires, paint, built a trailer, it was an awesome father/son project.I vote the Honda pilot
Good. I’m not racing quads down streets drunk at o’ dark 30 anymoreOh shit. Yeah how you doing Mike?
Yea. the perfect quad would be that 500 motor in the 250R frame !!!!! Lots of guys did the CR500 motor in the 250. That’s bitchen !
You mean this? I read this article so many times in dirt wheels the pages fell out.Yea. the perfect quad would be that 500 motor in the 250R frame !!!!! Lots of guys did the CR500 motor in the 250. That’s bitchen !
I had a few 250R's. My baddest was a round tube Laeger with a 330 Eddie Sanders in it. That was the Banshee Killer! That was before kids and when I still had knees.
Lol. Right on. You still in the desert?Good. I’m not racing quads down streets drunk at o’ dark 30 anymore
Didn’t Laeger build a handful of titanium 250r frames?
Great thread! I’m building a banshee right now.
