I had 2 weeks of work vacation I had to use or lose it, so for the stupid low price of $377, I got a round trip out of Miami to Rome and went to our house in Italy to work on my wine celler some more, put a fire under my builders ass, and strip and finish god knows how old doors back to it's natural skin. Like always, fucking RDP is always with me. (Right above my front door it says R.D.P. 1906 aka Roberto Di Paulo who built it for his family)

Yes, I'm 4 glasses in of local wine and Yes, that's my fucking view.

I told Uncle AJ tonight that I finally bought my Ferrari, but I live in it. lol

That is all.

I built a website for the village, have a look. http://www.Castelbottaccio.com

http://castelbottaccio.com/gallery/jason/ is a link to some of my photos, surf around, there is more to see.

BTW, out the door, I bought this house for $27k, come be my neighbor and spend your summers or retire in Italy where everything is stupid fucking cheap. (except gas lol)

I always thought the free standing closet in our master bedroom in Italy looked like something Frankenstein would walk out of when you opened a door. Those things were massive. Seldom, if ever, saw a closet the way we know them.

I love the old style, but I would struggle with the OCD side of me that wants to powerwash everything!!! LOL
You can’t go around pressure washing everything, man.
You’ll wash away the “old world” charm.

I mentioned in another thread Hawaii as a place to escape.

I researched Portugal too.
The “force” was telling me to buy like 3 pressure washers with every property I looked at online 😂

Primary unit
The backup unit
And the backup to the backup last stand.😂

That’s pretty awesome! Congrats!

Neighbors have a place outside of Florence. They spend about 4 months a year there and absolutely love it. Buddy owns a big ass farm in Tuscany that we’ve failed to take up on his constant invites. Soon though. 😁

The food in northern Italy is way over the top! It’s far beyond dough and tomato sauce.

We will be back next June with our daughters. Rome to Lake Como, Milan, to Venice, with a 7 day cruise of the Greece Islands in between.

Lax to Rome is 12+ hours with a short layover in Frankfort. Summer flights are 20%+ higher than spring time costs. Late April is just fine, figure $3,500 for rt business class. Summer more but I just got a deal in Lufthansa air for $3,700 in June 2023. Remember it is hot in summer, can hit 88 in Rome and Florence.

This photo is from balcony of Westin in Florence in April. Just amazing.

I have been blessed to be there a couple times. People are always awesome. Had a great time both trips. Could not imagine trying to get anyone to do anything. They are some laid back folks.
