Well, the roads do anyway. As soon as you cross over the bridge from NV it turns to shit. Gets better for a while but quite a ways before Kingman turns crappy again.

Then I-40 is horrible all the way to the 93 turn off. 93 sucks most of the way to Wickenburg.

Then 60 south is filled with pot holes. Big ones too. They filled them but did a poor job.

Instead of fixing the roads they just post up signs that say rough road ahead next 10 miles. Or 20 miles. Or 100 miles. Or they should just post signs that say our roads suck throughout the whole state.

And what's with the price of gas / diesel in Phoenix area? Kingman was around $3.50 for diesel. Phoenix is almost $5.

Interstate roads are federal responsibility. I’m not sure the state has much to say about how they are maintained.

In Phoenix the state-owned loop freeways are very well maintained. Go onto I17 or I10 and it can be rough in some sections. I think it’s pretty clear where the blame can be placed…. In general though AZ roads have always sucked.
