A friend recently saw this at the beginning of Challenger Wash. Something new or always a law and just a new sign? No bullet holes yet.

This is the result of the ridiculous amounts of thrash left behind at many local shooting stops. I went out to shoot my deer rifle yesterday. You literally cannot find a place that hasn't been closed that didn't have a ton of people in it already. I was out at 6:30 AM. Bunch of fucking pigs.

Irresponsible shooters have screwed the rest of us whom police our target trash and our empties. I saw a sign where I finally found a place that stated "please pick up your target trash and your brass"

FYI, IF you are actually hunting, your hunting license is a permit, but you must be hunting.

Arizona State Trust lands are not "public lands", as are Federal lands under the management of the U.S. Forest Service or the Bureau of Land Management. Federal "public lands" are managed for the benefit and use of the public, while State Trust lands are managed for the benefit of 13 Trust beneficiaries, which include the public schools and prisons. The Land Department's trust management responsibilities include requiring a permit or lease and charging a fee for use of Trust land. Exceptions to this requirement are licensed hunters and fishers, actively pursuing game or fish, in-season.

It is technically against State Law to discharge a firearm on State Land except pursuant to lawful licensed hunting.

The state lands were given to Arizona by the Federal Government when we became a state. Many states sold or traded off the land the Federal Government granted them upon statehood. Arizona put it in trust for those 13 beneficiaries.

The purpose of the sign is to alert people so that they can't argue they did not know.

I believe you have to buy a permit and then you can run your SXS on it now.. I don't know where you'd get the permit in Havasu?

Agree. The amount of trash around the beginning of Standard Wash and Challenger is ridiculous. Lazy assed people.

Is the shooting area off of Bison Road part of the State Trust land?
