Good ol' Transportation Secretary Pete Buttplug will be right on this disaster, as he has the last 30 Transportation disasters.

Just need a rain and the grass will turn beautiful green the best natural fertilizer in the world. Maybe a little strong but it will dilute on its own

Yep. Although used mainly in fertilizer, Nitric acid is actually really bad stuff. It reacts with just about everything.

Shit still closed. Trying to get to San Antonio. The 40 is closed due to ice.

So I guess I head to Tucson and figure out side roads?

Every lighting bolt Makes nitric acid every time it goes threw the sky the creator designed it this way so it is not as bad as you are told. Natural plant food just needs to be diluted. regular man made fertilizer are actually bad for you soil by starving out bacteria the plants feed on, only producing nitrates, nitric acid provides nitrates and nitrites to the soil feeding plants and bacteria, however once you starve all the bacteria out in the soil you Are forced in to having to buy man made fertilizers from that point on or suffer crop loss. Do research on the earths nitrogen cycle and food production And look at the sulfuric acid and sulfur relationship that is need to make all this work.

Sorry, but nitric acid is near the top of my list of things that are toxic and extremely reactive to deal with. Why do you think the road was shut down? Just because it may be a naturally occurring resource, doesn’t mean it wont fuck up just about everything that gets in its path.

100% that red cloud means it's high concentration. It will mess you up in a hurry.

I've done small scale clean ups where 1 gallon glass containers explode due to heat and pressure. When you walk into an area and see that red plume you know things are about to get serious.

I’m headed to Empire Cat in Eloy, think the closure will affect my ride that way? It’s quite a ways off from Tucson, but with as many Californians that moved out that way, who knows?

Red fuming nitric acid (RFNA) is a storable oxidizer used as a rocket propellant. It consists of 84% nitric acid (HNO3), 13% dinitrogen tetroxide and 1–2% water.[1] The color of red fuming nitric acid is due to the dinitrogen tetroxide, which breaks down partially to form nitrogen dioxide. The nitrogen dioxide dissolves until the liquid is saturated, and produces toxic fumes with a suffocating odor. RFNA increases the flammability of combustible materials and is highly exothermic when reacting with water.

If you want a scenic detour, take the 60 east and go thru Apache Junction, take the 70 thru Globe, Safford and Duncan. Reconnect with the 10 in Lordsburg NM

Well now they can say that we are creating massive pollution and they will increase the speed of our destruction of the US.

Its still closed and the back-up and detour are likely pretty slow.
One alternate, about 20 minutes longer than usual is to take the 19 south for 20 miles to Sahuarita road then go East on Sahuarita to Houghton,(or a little further to the 83) then North back to the 10
