It's the wording they use in the polling.... and the people they poll. They use polling to influence public opinion now, not to gauge it. They don't let out the genuine poll data, they keep those cards close to the chest. 2016 perfectly illustrated the extent of this.

And I'm not sure who your bookie is getting his odds from but everywhere I've seen has Trump favored in the -130s, if your bookie had Trump at positive odds you should take advantage of it.
