At least make it mandatory to show a valid CA ID. Common sense. If someone is so freaking lame that they can't get an ID then they ABSOLUTELY shouldn't vote. I mean how lazy and/or dumb (for lack of a better word) can you be if you don't have an ID.

So Trump's plan is to punish those who's lives have been tragically impacted by wildfires, in order to pressure the state officials into caving to his demands.
I'm all for voter ID, but not his idea of how best to accomplish it. 🖕

My ID expired once.😐
Some cocksucker at the gas station wouldn’t sell me beer😡

Gray beard and all😂
I fixed it.
It happens, happened to me once.
Once!

My oldest daughter is 28, and clinical diagnosis from 2 different doctors.
Downs Syndrome and severe mental retardation. And she has a California ID card. If she can have one there are no excuses at all.
No ID, no vote. Period.

He knows how to get their attention. Also, when it comes to FEMA, it is a joke as well. They don't do shit, nothing. These people all have insurance like the rest of us if our home burns down. Some even have Go Fund Me pages collecting over a million dollars. With all the media attention, they'll be fine.

CA is the one who punished those people.

Sounds to me like Trump is trying to fix things.

Nobody will be punished. What will the federal government do that the state & insurance companies won't? Nothing. But people don't know that so Trump's getting them up in arms to try and solve another problem. Well played.

Do you realize that the Eaton Fire started in the Angeles National Forest. Not a state forest, but the responsibility of the federal government to maintain.

But here's a few things FEMA can provide or assist with.

Housing: Rental assistance, lodging reimbursement, and temporary housing units
Home repairs: Money to repair or replace a primary residence, utilities, and residential infrastructure
Accessibility needs: Money to make a home accessible for people with disabilities
Transportation: Help with transportation needs
Personal property: Assistance with personal property
Bills assistance: Help with utility bills, credit card payments, student debt, and auto loans
Food assistance: Short-term funds to buy food
Unemployment benefits: Short-term income for people who are out of work due to a disaster
Small business disaster loans: Financial help for businesses that suffered damage

Who's or what is he going to use for leverage to force these states to bend to his will ?
Illinois
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Nebraska
Nevada
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Vermont
Wyoming

I've heard the Carolinas still have people who went through the floods living in tents. You can't tell me FEMA nailed that response.

The media lost interest and moved on and they have no intention of calling FEMA out.

I understand what its supposed to do, I just never see them doing it. And the few disasters I've gone through they wouldn't help me.

Agreed, LA county/CA spending on emergency response, deforestation/prevention has been horrific compared to what we’re spending on homeless and illegal immigrants. I’d love to see a side by side comparison over the last decade.
How are we still leasing fire fighting planes from Canada. Why are there fire fighters from Mexico here to help. City, county and state officials are incompetent.
If we properly allocated the 100’s of BILLIONS spent on bullet train, homeless and “non-citizen” healthcare this wouldn’t have happened.

Trump is trying to bully the state by punishing those most impacted by the fires.
You really don’t yet understand how Trump operates? He has no intention of connecting voter identification or improved water management to relief efforts. That’s just his way of putting light on the issues. He’s a showman, and it works.

That’s already been said in other posts, but it appeared it needed to be said again, 😉

A sanctuary state that abuses its tax paying citizens to take care of illegal immigrants and treat them better than US citizens. I'm surprised so many people are cool with this... It's been going on forever... Newsome hasn't done anything to remedy the situation, he really needs to go down. Don't worry, it's a chess game, Trump just wants to expose what's been going on in CA.. But at some point Newsome's CA needs to be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof.

But in all fairness, I do see your point... Timing is everything..

And the media fucking lies out right. They say the smelt was never an issue & never interrupted water supply to CA (they just say that it was false information & leave it at that). BULL SHIT! I was involved when they cut off the water supply, 10 years or more ago, to San Diego & we had to scramble for a year how to deal with water quality issues with our humidifiers & pipes. The Sac Delta water must've been a higher quality water than the Colorado River source that we all pretty much rely on now down here.

The media needs to be called out on their lies & manipulation. The poor sheeple out there (75% of so called adults) will never do their own research & will believe everything mainstream media says. Hopefully Trump puts some laws to stop this shit.

Newsom said on a show with Adam Corolla that Mexicans and Blacks were too stupid to get a bank acct. If you can't get a bank acct, you certainly don't have the patience for the ID process at the DMV.

These are Newsom's voters.....the stupid ones he talks about all the time. Maybe someone should point that out in the news. (The news that white people watch....)
