Arizona Grand Resort

So Sierra won some trip to a water park in Phoenix called Sun Splash that we took her to yesterday.

Park was pretty cool actually. Was a miniature golf / water park and was waayyy bigger than I was thinking it would be. Had a big wave pool and large water slides etc. because it’s a water park and I wasn’t interested in potentially destroying my brand new phone that’s the pic you get. Lol

On our drive out here Stacy was shopping for a hotel for us to stay the night at and found a room on sale at a place called the Arizona Grand.. It was 12 minutes away from the water park and they have their own water park attached to the hotel. With water slides, wave pool, lazy river, and they even play movies in the pool most nights. (According to the description). So let’s dtay there!

This place is bad flipping ass.. and next year we won’t be going to the first water park, we will just come here. Point in fact I think we might come here again a couple more times this summer! 5 restaurants on site, and everything has been amazing so far!

So it was getting late and we decided to try the Steak House “Rustler’s Rooste”

This place is huge! It’s a bad ass restaurant, but borders on theme park. According to their menu the heritage was very cool as well. Apparently the founders would steal cows and then sell them to the local restaurants.. well they got tired of selling them so they opened their own restaurant. Lol. Pretty cool story if you read it all.

Room was 146.00. Resort fee was like 50.00. Bring an AO and beers and you are good! Or you can order 10.00 16 oz beers from the bar. A lot t of people brought their own coolers.. We didn’t know we were staying here I would have.

Lifeguard 1 says you can’t take drinks in lazy river (I asked). Life guards 2-6 were trying by to flag down servers for other guests for refills.. lol. In short don’t ask if you can just take it. Everyone else did and nobody said anything.

Got married at the AZ Grand when it was called the Point. Great place for a stay-cation for us. Water park is pretty awesome.

AZ grand is a fun place and Rustler's Roost is a hoot. Beautiful view from the patio. Golf course isn't my favorite but seem to end up there a couple times a year.

Glad you enjoyed your visit and yes, its a perfect spot for a family staycation in the summer.

We hit the grand up every year for a staycation. Cant beat the water park and fun for the kids.

We also like the the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. Not as much slides but the lazy river and pools are fun. I like the JW because it’s only six miles from our house.

If your ever in for some company hit me up.

The Drilling outfit I worked for there in Phoenix had their Christmas Party at the Roost.
Had ribs and some beef and fixings.
It was outstanding. They had the whole balcony reserved with the outside bar going.
It was excellent.

I grew up going to Sunsplash, We used to have season passes in the summer and would go almost everyday. Arizona Grand rocks! We have won passes there before we had kids and now i want to take the kids back! its only 10-15 minutes away from our house and abotu 2 minutes from my in laws. We frequent Rustlers Rooste, fun place! Any place that has Corona on tap is good in my books.
