Last night I spent $70 at the Habit for my family of 5 to eat. That's without fountain drinks.
Something's gotta give.

President Harris is going to institute price controls... So once all the restaurants are closed you won't be able to buy fast food and therefore will save $70, making the economy better for working families.

Potato cakes are back at Arby’s!! 🤤

I was out to dinner with some friends form England that haven’t been over here in like 5 years. They were BLOWN AWAY at how much everything costs. We don’t notice it because it’s gradual but they were shocked.

They explained they went to the market

Eggs $5.00. In England $1.50
Cereal $6.00 in England $1.00
Milk $6.00. England $2.00
Then I mention McDonald’s for 4 is $90.00. They said they just had McDonald’s before they came over and it was $25.00 - $30.00 for 4 of them.

I grabbed a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle this morning in Lancaster - $7.27 for just the sandwich with tax! I guess that’s what happens when the government forces you to pay remedial people $20/hour to do remedial work.

Ha Ha $90 for 4 at McDonalds. Get the $5 meal deal or go to Chilis and get the 3 for me for $10. 😂

I was on my way home from the lake recently, kids wanted Chick-fil-A. Five of us ordered meals on the app and they wanted $120+ tip. Fuck that. Went to a Mexican restaurant had a sit down meal that was way better with a drink and it cost $100 before tip.

We generally don't eat out at restaurants much. My wife is a gourmet chef. She cooks every day and she will make extra so I can take it the next day for lunch so I am very lucky there.

However, I've seen these videos online where people are saying screw it to the fast food places and going to Chilis instead and picking up lunch. I just went online and checked the lunch special prices at chilis and these are all $10. That's a really good deal compared to McD's and all the other crappy fast food places.

The turkey sandwich combo is just under 16. Got the potato cakes they were bomb. My only gripe is they no longer have yellow mustard.

I just finished lunch from Fanoos grill express. Under 10$ after Tax includes a can of coke. At there last 3 days in a row for lunch.

No gourmet chef here but I'm with you. 25 years of marriage and we probably go out once a month, with the reduclous prices and horrible wait staff. It's a hard pill to swallow.

At this pace fast food will be eliminated within 3 years.

Maybe people will learn how to cook again.

Honestly, I don't know why more people don't cook. If my wife wouldn't cook, I would. I love to cook as well. It's relaxing and not to mention so much better for you than all the restaurants. I don't even go to steakhouses any longer because they are so disappointing. I make a way better steak than any restaurant for 1/3 or 1/4 of the price. Fuck that!!

I enjoy cooking also. We used to go to the bar for dinner on Friday's. Now I cook for 8-12 people just about every Friday. I spend 100-150.00 to feed them all. And that is steak, bacon potatoes and the good shit. we used to spend 300-400 at the bar with fewer people. Blows my mind what people spend to eat crap. Ex worker who always cried poverty, his wife ordered door dash 2-3 times a day and then still had groceries delivered. And they lived less than a half mile from a Vons.

It ain't the cooking, it's the cleaning up the kitchen that I absolutely hate.

When I'm left home alone, I eat nothing but sandwiches on paper plates. I can feed myself for a week for $30.

When the fam is around, the wife is the chef (has a degree in Cullinary arts from Le Cordon Bleu). When I cook, which is rare, it's outside on the grill. Breakfast is also done out there on the side burner so I can get rid of all the grease spatter with a can of brake cleaner lol

Used to get these all the time when they had the 5 for 5! Put a little horsey sauce in them and chow! Don’t really go anymore since they took them off the menu.

Went to A's 2 nights ago on 2nd street for gf's birthday, halibut dinner, skirt steak dinner both with veggie only, 1 cocktail $176 with tip and it wasn't nothing special. I'm guessing I could of did that at home for $60 or so with a few extra cocktails.

Only one fast food place for me Jersey Mikes !
I just had that for dinner. Two sandwiches and two small (medium) fountain drinks was $30. One sandwich was actually a bowl and the other was a regular. No extras or add ons.

I thought that was kinda high.
