Probing the brain trust here, did a search before this post, didn't come up with anything. I know Throttle has a pretty tricked out enclosed UTV (Bad Ass), but wanted to see if anyone here had the Expedition and what have they done to it?
Can it hang on the RDP rides?
Why not the RZR Pro R or Ranger?
Anyone know about the turbo kits, besides Google searches?
Best price seen? Ultimate or Northstar, are the upper trim levels necessary?

I built this one for my wife, its pretty cool with the AC, as far as keeping up it does well, it doesnt blast the whoops or big bumps like a rzr but its way more comfy, I built a refrigerator freezer in the back along with all the stuff you could want or need on a trail also has 700watt inverter, 35" tires

Isn’t @Fishd00d building one? Can’t wait to see what he does. I’m going this route as well. Need to sell the Tatum first though.

I bought one, but have had it apart for the last 2 months modifying it. Went with HCR kit, SDI shocks, bike man tune and exhaust, gilomen clutch mod, wilwood 6 piston brakes, innov8 wheels, BFG 35’s. I hope to have it on all 4’s this weekend and drive it for the first time. Working with Gatorwraps for the exterior. I‘ll post some pics once it’s out of the garage.

If you ant the AC Heat and big stereo you have to do the northstar it comes with everything, if you do the ultimate it gets super expensive to buy the windows and ac unit, the northstar is the only way to get the ac, not sure if i will do the HCR kit because it uses the stock shocks revalved, I think I will do the S3 front arms to move the wheel forward a bit so they dont rub

Why not have both, trust me they are cool for the desert and to put around glamis but nothing beats a sandcar in the dunes

Definitely agree, love the Tatum but up here (Reno) the only area for it is Sand Mountain and it's pretty small dune area for a sand car. We've done quite a few trips out there with it but just haven't used it as much as of late. The Expedition would get used a lot since we are out in the North valley's of Reno and have lots of areas to just go enjoy from the house.

They wouldn’t keep up on my rides. IMO these are way way over rated. If you like to cruise at 30 or less sure. Alot of our rides are 35 avg speed or more

Power isn’t the issue, the suspension is. Even with long travel, a utility sxs is not going to keep up with a sport sxs if you’re riding in a faster group.
