Figured I'd take it a step further past death. Seemed like the logical choice LOL....

My dad owned his own bldg maintenance company from the 80's thru the early 2000's. His main client was the Norris Play Theatre up at the end of Crenshaw Bl in RPV. He primarily cleaned the place in between plays and even assisted in building sets when they needed the help. My brother and I would go with him to work super early in the mornings on the wknd to get us out of the house and he'd have us polishing brass rails for hours, we got buff. There were several times where pops would have me sweeping the stage or doing something back in the dark and every once in a while I would hear walking way up in the catwalk by the curtain pullies in the top. I even saw shadows moving in the lights way up there once or twice. Each time I saw or heard something it spooked the shit outta me and I always vowed to never go back but I always did.

Anyway, great memories reguardless. He'd always take us down to San Pedro on the way home in the morning to eat some cold smoked salmon on the dock. Good times.

Anyone else ever have an experience of the sort? Wife and I like watching the Ghost Adventure shows when they're good of course. Zack is getting weird tho. The jury is still out with me on how much of it all I believe but no joke, that damn theatre in RPV is haunted I know that for sure!

In 5th grade, me and another kid saw a ghost while we walking the track at recess. There is more to the story, but not really relevant to the fact we both saw it at the same time. What we was was a white figure/shape of a head and torso of a man floating through a dark spot in the woods in front of us - no legs.

3 years later after graduating the 8th grade, I had a campout with some friends in the woods by my house. Someone suggested telling stories, and my best friend at the time - (well call him J) whom I met in middle school started with his story. J's brother was at piano lessons by my elementary school (J went to a different elementary school in town) so he walked over to the outdoor basketball courts and was shooting some hoops. As he was retrieving his basketball from a missed shot, he looked out across the field that the walking track surrounded, and he saw this white half figure of a man floating across the field. He described it the exact same way that I remembered it, the problem was he and I had never once discussed my seeing the same ghost at that same location. Neither of us had interactions with whatever it was other than seeing it. It still gives me goosebumps thinking about him telling the story as a corroborating witness to the same thing I saw at a totally different moment in time.

Cousins moved onto a house. The house was built by a bricklayer. I stayed over there many times throughout my childhood.
Later in life my mom and I were talking about ghosts. I told her I had seen one at my cousins house. I described him. Turns out my cousin had told his mom the same thing, but we had never talked about it. He called him the little grandpa. He wore overalls and a red shirt. Nothing was scary, I guess he just wanted to check out who lived in his place.

I got a good one. Wife and I were at the river 20 years ago. Late one night we were walking back into the trailer at Lost Lake on the peninsula. As I was walking I. Looked back at my truck and saw I ghostly figure sitting shotgun in my truck. Didn't say anything to my wife (then gf) didn't want to freak her out.

Fast forward a few years having a conversation much like this one same question came up amongst friends. Before I could say anything my wife jumps in and says she saw the samething I did. We never had talked about it till that point. Instantly I knew what I saw had to have been real cause she saw the exact samething.

Although I never experienced it myself, a lot of my family say the my moms old house was haunted by my grandpa who had died in the house...my grandpa, an ex-Navy officer was known to make his bed perfectly every single morning as soon as he woke up before he did anything else...he died at my moms house in bed...for many years after that people that would visit my mom and stay in that room, would say that it felt like someone was in bed next to them and many of them said when they got up in the morning, one side of the bed would be perfectly made....

Yes. The old Alexandrea hotel in LA 1997 at a rave in the middle of the night. It was in the dark and looked like a faint see through floating dress and then it passed and was noticeably cold air which was what was so alerting. My buddy saw it too but said it had a womans head/long hair I didn't see. It was not the drugs we were doing 😁 Shits creepy.

Haven't come across anything myself. But a buddy that works for me that his daughters BF sees ghost. Pretty f'ing crazy stuff, he says they are not faces, but silhouette.

Crazy part was I was talking to my buddy on the phone one evening and the BF was there and he asked if my father past and I said no, unless in the last 1hr that i spoke to him. He said the BF can hear someone close to you that you know is chirping in his ear. Just so happen that my aunt passed away earlier that day.

He says its constant all the time stuff, trying to get his attention. He takes it as they don't believe they know they are dead yet or something like that. He tells my buddy when he hanging out to leave the dogs toy out, cause she's going crazy arounf the house looking for it. Dog passed 3-4 yrs ago... pretty interesting when you ask him about it... But he wont just come out and talk.

Either he' got the best imagination or whatever...Says his mom has it too, but not his dad.

I was talking to someone about these types of things recently. It shocked me he'd be the type to have an interest or belief. I told him one of the theories I've heard, and tend to believe. All life and things are energy. Energy seems to have a different "wave length" for everything. Energy of some type holds atoms together, split one and we see a massive amount of it.

What if when we die, our wavelength changes? Basically, switched the channel, a different plane of existence. What if "ghosts", or other things seen and not easily explained, are like "bleed" over from a different channel?

Also an a weird note, what if the people you see in your dreams are on the same wavelength? What if they are people unknown to you, yet in a dream state you share a common bond just for those moments?

My wife has endless stories. She lived in a haunted house in Vista.

A great point, and definitely possible for sure. I have also pondered this.

There's gotta be something, I get a ton of Deja-vus, to the point that sometimes I can already say in my head exactly what is going to be said next and by whom.

Is it a strange energy, ghosts, or this is my life and it's flashing before my eyes?

I have no idea...

This was a theory told to me by an Indian that grew up on the res. It was taught to him by what could best be described as a medicine man. Energy and wavelengths, Buddhist Monks and North Amercan Medicine Men...but also stories from the Nordics, the Africans and Australian Aborigines...the more any group sees their history, they may also see their similarities.

When I was 20 my best friend died in a motorcycle accident. The night he died I woke up in the middle of the night from a dead sleep in a panic but I couldn’t move and it felt like someone was holding me down to my mattress by my throat. I had no idea he had died til the next day. But it seemed like I was in that state for 15 to 30 seconds. I don’t know why he woulda tried to choke me or hold me down, maybe just trying to communicate with me? The next day around noon I found out he had died around 2:30am which woulda been about the time the panic set in for me. Call that what you will. I didn’t see anything but I felt it. I do believe in a spirit realm. I think it’s biblical at that. I also have had several dreams with him in them over the years since his passing and in every dream he never speaks. This guy never shut up in life so it’s weird how quiet he is. We are usually hanging out doing something fun in the dreams.

In another story along those same lines, I worked at an automotive repair shop once in the past. My bosses son was 21 at the time. This was a real good looking kid, like coulda been a model good looking. He was a super athletic type A guy with an anti fear. This kid was the most fearless person I ever met. He was timing stoplights on a super long and steep hill in a town to the west of Tulsa riding a longboard through the lights. They were really hauling ass by the time they got through the light. Long story short he fell off the board and hit his head on the curb. It put him in a coma for over a week before they pulled the plug. The mood around the shop was pretty dismal as you would imagine. After he passed I had another dream as vivid as hell where I was leaving work on foot for some reason and the shop building was in a heavily wooded park. There was this winding road that lead to an intersecting street with light poles lining it. It was twilight dark. When I was about to get to the cross street my bosses son shows up and says hey man I want to show you something. I said cool, he says come on follow me, jumps into the air like Superman and takes off flying, well I follow him. For me it’s incredibly painful and it feels like my body is being smeared across the sky. I am yelling at him telling him I don’t know how long I can do this because it’s smearing me. He tells me to fight it and hang on. As we are flying along I see mountains and trees floating in the sky and landscape features all sorted out in space in the sky. We fly by that and get to a place in the sky where there are infants hanging in the sky and then adult body parts, arms legs, torsos heads. He tells me this is a place where God puts the world together. I was trying hard to hang on but the pain of the flying was killing me and I told him I had to wake up. Then I did and the dream was over. I told his dad the story the next day and it blew him away. Again not a ghost but crazy stuff.

Worked on a ship that had an area known as shaft alley at the bottom, low overhead and poor lighting. Coworkers would bribe me to do their inspections for them, most everyone was afraid to go down there. Years before a guy had died down there and everyone insisted it was haunted.
More than once I felt a light pressure at one of my shoulders and several times with light behind me I would see fast moving shadows on the wall ahead of me, so quick I would question if I really saw it.
Never really felt fear but it was definitely unsettling.

I've been some places that "someone" was definitely watching. It could be the fellow just wanted th make sure "his boat" was cared for. Just keeping an eye on things.

Puff Puff pass bro 🤣😜, I’m just messing with you monkeyswrench. I do believe there is something after the here and present, what that is, damnifiknow! I think there is an energy, don’t know what else to call it. So this was 15 years ago when my dad checked himself out, punched his own ticket if you will. It was probably three weeks after his service and my close friends that were by my side trying to help me get through everything had all gone home.
Well I was still at my dads house by myself and I turned in for the night in my room (room I would stay in when I visited) and was woken up at a couple of minutes past 3:00am, loud banging and bumping in the other end of the house.
So I laid there heart beating in my ears thumping in my chest wondering WTF, I even reached and put my hand on my pew pew, I was trying to figure out what was going on, was someone breaking into the house or in the house because they saw his obituary and figured it would be vacant, so many things racing through my mind. I stayed put because I figured I had the upper hand, all I had to do was aim for the doorway. After about 5 minutes all was quite, nervously I got out of bed and walked the house, red dot on, I was so on edge, found nothing/nobody.
With everything that had been going on the previous 3 1/2 weeks and this night noise I was exhausted after the adrenaline stopped pumping and fell asleep until morning. Woke up and first thing I thought of was I dreaming everything last night, then I saw my noise maker on the nightstand and thought nope, that’s out for a reason.
Well walking around inside the house that next morning the first thing I noticed was a kachina doll my dad had treasured that was turned a 180* on its shelf with its back to the room and then on the next shelf over there was a picture of my dad and I from his 70th surprise birthday party I threw for him and you could see where it “used” to sit from its dust halo on the shelf, it was pulled forward 4”.
So this sent me down the rabbit hole of afterlife/ghosts/spirit’s etc. and one thing I kept reading was a person whom had passed on could visit but it took a tremendous amount of energy for them to return and it was for a better term “a bull in a China shop” type deal.
Well I’d had other things happen shortly after like the white feather thing, waking up every night at 3:00am (supposedly when the energy is strongest in the spirt world), setting something down and a minute or less turning around and it was moved, or gone completely, etc.
Part of me wishes I could hang out one more day, just sit and talk with my dad, mom, brother, grandma, best friend Roy, all of them. But who am I kidding, I would soil myself the second one of them said BOO 👻!!

The world continues to spin.
It’s was just a joke 😁

I will contribute...

Short version... Friend drops dead overnight at house, you know his routine, very regimented, he used to make popcorn before watching tv every nite. After he is gone, you wake in the middle of night to the smell of burnt popcorn and a light on, you get up to check it out... only thing you find is a light left on, a hot toaster and the garage door is open. Its not windy, but you feel a breeze.

I could go all nite with these types of occurrences. Enough to make you share the nightmares that I have.

My grandparents house had a lot of weird things happen. When I was a kid and would stay with them, I would hear footsteps running up and down the wood stairs. This only happened when I was there alone, and it freaked me out so bad that I would wait outside for one of them to get home.

When I met wife in 1996 (then girlfriend) I was moving out of my apartment and was looking for a place to live. My grandparents house has a studio that was empty, and my wife talked me into moving in. I told her from the get-go that I did not want to live there because of what happened as a kid, but I moved in anyways.

The second night there we are watching a movie and a lamp on the table next to the couch we were sitting on had the chain slapped hard. The chain swung up and hit the glass shade on the lamp and was swinging back and forth. No windows opened, no pets around, nothing. Wife asked WTF was that? I told her to grab her shit, and we took off. I moved out the next day.

There was a 400-year-old oak tree on the property right next to the house. After one of our rainy winters 10 or so years ago the tree collapsed. Since that tree has been gone the house feels totally different and I have not experienced anything weird there (My mom lives there now).

After my dad died, we had some stuff happen at our house as well. Electronics and lights turning on and off. Doors opening and closing on their own. As time passes these occurrences seem to be getting less and less.

The house I grew up in my parents bought in 72, from the widow of the original owner. He had passed in the master. The house was a ranch style, built in 54. Long hall, with a bath, 3 bedrooms and 2 closets.
The master door would always open itself overnight. I think the old timer just wanted to know what was going on. Occasionally the hall light may be on in the mornings as well. I never felt scared, even as a kid. The house creaked and such, and had personality I guess.

The old fellow must have been a trouble maker though, never once woke my parents up to bust me.

Try this trick if you think you have a ghost... close all windows and doors, turn off hvac, turn off lights, set and light a candle on a table... sit quietly and wait... to see the candle flame move...

My dads house has shades, where it is was a highly populated native population. Used to freak me out as a kid and the neighborhood had a pretty high turnover rate. Grew to embrace them and to this day they are present but doesn't bother me anymore. Forget what my grandmother used to call them, kísértette

About 6 years ago, I was hiking Cathedral Rock in Sedona with my wife (then GF). There is a main “top” of the trail, but there is a less travelled part of the trail that actually takes you into to the top of the rock. It is one of the supposed “vortexes” the crystal people talk about.

We get to the top and we’re looking out over the valley, no one else was around. My wife starts taking some pictures, and at the same time I see this blue orb dancing around at eye level with us. A couple minutes go by and I’m fixating on trying to figure out what this orb is. It eventually sling shots up and disappears into the sky.

When we looked back at the photos my wife took, sure enough it appeared in a few of them. Definitely a strange experience to say the least.

Lots of little things like lights glowing or fans turning on, however there is one unexplainable experience that stands out.

When I was about 10-11 I saw a lady in a wedding dress on the stairs of my mom and stepdads house. I told my mom and she mentioned it to my stepdad. It turns out that day was the wedding anniversary with his wife who had passed away from cancer in that house…

… Oh where to start with the stories🤷🏽‍♀️… I don’t know whether it’s the planetary alignment or something else… but threads about ghosts… Closest you have been to death… crossing paths with infamouslevels criminals…
…. Not too, sure what’s going on here… But the vibe of the forum has certainly taken a few left turns …There was a time a ….few years ago when yeah… I probably really would’ve had something really indepth to say to maybe put things into perspective …r

…A very interesting read which touches on many of the unknowns that have been posted…A book called “Trust your Vibe”… it’s a start to the spirit world and to the energy world…

So a woman passed in the house I own and I haven't had any visual things happen. However I had my bed pointing in one direction for years without any issues so one day I decide to change it up and put on a different wall instantly I have restless sleep and crazy dreams. This went on for a month or so so switched to yet another wall and poof all better.

Another strange thing happens when I shower it triggers a bunch of negative shit and I start focusing on it/catch myself and stop.

They are close but not on same wall. STRANGE.

There have been many but this one scared the fuck out of me.

I saw a Tijuana stripper pick up an open corona bottle, no hands, dance around the stage with it then set it back down in front of the guy who proceeded to drink it.

We stayed at El convento in Old san juan Puerto Rico on our honeymoon. Bitchen hotel. It was the original convent built by the Spanish who built the fort. 3 foot thick walls. Really cool place. At sunrise things would start turning on in the room. First it was a lamp. Then it was the radio alarm clock. Then the tv. The only thing with the ability to set it to turn on was the alarm clock and as far as I could tell it wasn't set. I asked the front desk and I got a knowing smile. Apparently the nuns woke up at sunrise and they thought that we should too.

I've had few encounters with the other worldly.

Approx 25 years ago I had this really cool all black tomcat that loved chocolate, lol. (He would attack you to steal it from you) Approximately 1 year after he died, I was smoking out on the front porch just after sunset and out of nowhere he appeared and walked right thru the front door and into the house. Then several times over the years while I was sleeping, I could feel him jump into my bed and walk around for a few seconds then lay down. This probably happened 5 or 6 times.

Where I currently live, I'm 100% convinced it's haunted. My wife purchased the house 29 years ago and said she believes the owner died in the house before she bought it. We got married 12 years ago and I moved in with her. These things only happen when I'm in the house alone, or when I'm awake early before everyone wakes up. First experience there I was watching a baseball game. I heard a horrible crash up in the attic. I thought maybe something fell over or something. When I went up there to investigate everything was perfectly in place. I thought maybe it was something outside and I just thought the sound came from the attic?

Same house (my wife runs a pre-school there) I am always hearing the toys just start playing music, talking, or whatever they were designed to do just randomly go off. She also has a Bubble Machine outside that randomly turns itself on in the middle of the night. (You have to physically turn a dial for this to turn on, so it's not an electrical issue) Also I also hear slamming of doors when all the windows in the house are closed, or something hitting a wall.

Still the same house. Probably the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life happened about 6 months ago. I'm out in the garage doing maintenance on my SxS to get it ready for a desert trip. I walk in the house and am totally silent, I make an immediate left into the kitchen before the door closed. I look near the kitchen sink, and I see a drinking cup floating in the air about 6 inches above the countertops. It must have seen me and tried to slam the cup down, but it went over on its side then came back completely upright. That shit doesn't happen unless it's a ghost I tell myself. I could feel a coldness in the air and all the hairs on my body are standing straight up like a static electricity shock. I never told my wife about any of these hauntings until this happened. It freaked me the fuck out!! She said she has heard things over the years also but never really thought anything about it.

Then a few months ago I'm sitting at the Kitchen Island and my daughter (who doesn't know about any of these hauntings) was making a sandwich. All of a sudden, I hear the front doorknob turning violently. I'm thinking somebody is outside and trying to get into the house, so I leap up and open the door within less than 2 seconds and there's nobody there. I look outside and nobody is around. I tell her that's weird, and she says yeah that is weird. So, it wasn't just me hearing things.

Holy shit that is heavy!

… I lived in Big Tujunga Canyon for four years… 4 acres …our own swimming hole in the stream… Some of my friends who lived there would talk about the alien abductions… This book was written about the alien abductions… I think…My friends were sure they had seen some weird shit over the years… In my four years up there, I never saw any of it… But being up in a secluded canyon there were certainly some people with what you would not consider normal lifestyles🤷🏽‍♀️
… There is possibly a chance that I added to the oddity of the area😳

Growing up my sister and I would hear someone walking around upstairs or a sound like they jumped off the bed. It happened ~6 times. We would let all the dogs in to clear the house and even had the neighbor dad over to clear it since it was just my mom and us. It was always nothing.

My grandparents house the kitchen sink would go on by itself. Hearing a voice say your name has been common among my family.
My dad has battled the sleep paralysis demon multiple times and saying Jesus' name out loud is the cure.

I like the single story I live in because its slab on grade lmao.
