I used to occasionally ride with a neighbor in my old apartment complex who rode a Valkyrie (the carbureted predecessor) with straight pipes. The thing looked like it sucked to ride but damn it was cool and it made my 103 look and sound like a Vespa

Buddy of mine had one, wrecked it in his neighborhood off into the ditch avoiding a car cutting the corner. He ended up with a new Victory, said he liked the Rune way better but couldn't fine a deal on one at the time.

ill bet you feel the same way about 70s muscle cars too
Not at all. Some are cool. Don’t like big fat cars like novas etc

And muscle cars were fast for the day they were made. A cruiser bike has never been considered fast when it was made.

Triumph rocket would be a better bike if you like the looks of a dump truck.

2.5l 3 cylinder that makes 160 hp

Actually having ridden them ( Rune) in the past, they run damn well. 118 hp and 123 ft/lbs in an ultra smooth flat six make a very nice ride. Different bike for a different purpose.

Not every bike has to be about how fast it goes. But you already know that.
Yeah I own 4 bikes. I know that. But a cruiser doesn’t do anything medicore even unless going completely straight on the freeway. And even that it’s sucks because it has no wind protection

I mean go ahead and think it’s cool to replace foot pegs because they wore off from doing a left turn in an intersection lol.

So you are aware that on a hard turn like leaving a parking lot a cruiser will drag the foot pegs on the ground? That it’s common that you replace pegs once a year because you have scrapped off that much?

That’s not racing that’s leaving the Starbucks lol.

I haven’t even discussed the merits of how dumb you look without a helmet, wearing a leather vest with a made up lawyer motorcycle dear diary club and the assless chaps for safety.

How dumb I look ? With all due respect I have not met you. And you are making a ton of assumptions. Not really sure why you are all hostile towards me.

16 FZ09 2022 CRF 450R And My kids XR 80 and CRF 70 at the firepit at night 🍺
Sweet. I dig MV’. And rode a bunch. Had one for a bit before I sold it. Got a few Ducatis in the garage but my daily is a Buell X1. Fun as hell. Have the race kit with cams in it. They don’t make anywhere near where near the power of some of my other bikes have, but the torque is bitchen. Not sure what I like in the mountains more, my Buell or my supermoto.

Love my FZ 09 it's flashed, piped, suspension tuned, etc.Fun bike fast enough to keep me out of jail and above ground. My GSXR days are past, having kids now, changed my perspective. Those MV's are badass,my buddy has one and it is a blast to ride.I wanted the MONSTER, but this FZ was a steal in 2017 @ 5900$

I have several bikes, yet I have a hole in my arsenal. I really need something to rip around on Sunday's, I've been looking at this thing for a while. I'd love to have a Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen addition bike.

I loved mine too... Such a great motor in that thing, pulls so hard it would turn my stomach.

I guess the V8 motorcycle wouldn’t be the RDP cup of tea. I saw a bunch in New Mexico and would like to twist the throttle on one someday.

I like where this thread is going.
I like to see people's bikes.

What they choose to ride & buy.
What aftermarket shit they slap on em.
ETC.

You never know who you might buy or sell your next bike from.

I say we start a "show your motorcycles thread", ya?

What's the point of having a MOTO then? Unless yore a mid life crisis headcase that bought a clothes' hanger AKA Harley to cruise Newport on Sundays..........🤣

Kind of like the guys with boats that cost well into 6 figures that go from launch to the beach and back 😆
