Anyone know how Rice Road Looks

Im about to head out from Orange County does anyone know the condition of rice road?

cant help ya, go through Ehrenberg with recent storms or cut through 29 palms to rice and you miss most of it, just my .02

Google maps is telling me that rice road is 11 miles shorter to havazoo than going through ehrenberg. Why risk it for 11 miles?

Couple days ago they were perfect, especially the single track. You can finally just drive over them again at speed:thumbup:

Sunday afternoons on Rice have made me nervous before with people passing two motorhomes and three boats at a time... It's just very dangerous at times out there.

According to the Caltrans website the 177 and 62 are open with no restrictions.

We'll be grinding the 10 around Cook/Monroe the next 2 weeks, this week went well, working nights Sun.-Thurs.

As for Rice, with the torque of a diesel and the elevation of a truck to see ahead, it's not really that bad, I'll take it over sections of the 395 enroute to Bishop for sure/lol.

I rather enjoy Rice Road, but my wife wears those things over her eyes normally used for sleeping...:rolleyes
