Was wondering if anyone here has real grass at their place in Havasu? This last weekend while driving down McCulloch Blvd near the old Kmart store, the center island area looked like they just overseeded it like golf courses do and it looked amazing. We would love to have a small real grass area in our backyard for our dog.

I have grass, I don't have a good picture of it on my phone but you get the idea. My grass pad is 47'x35', and with 4 watering stations for the trees and grass on a 2380sqft house runs in the $70-100 range

I have real real grass front and backyard(Phoenix). Summer is a pain to mow, and water everyday $200-250 month water bill.

I'm wondering if a high pressure misting system might be better than actual water stations during the heat of the day?

Not too many lawns on residential. At least in the front yard. I have a small strip in the backyard at home that i was going to do subsurface on. It’s so small that i just did a couple pop-ups and replace the sod when the dog wipes it out. Thought the subsurface would save a ton of water with the right soil.

The Springs in the 700s has a grass strip in front of the spots, and a grassy area for the firebreaks. They water it like once a day (the resort does) and it does ok in the off seasons but summer it gets pretty brown.

My father is constantly replacing sprinkler heads because the grass guy cuts them off with the lawnmower, and my dad has winter and summer lawn seeds he will put out depending on the season to try and keep it green.

It takes a bit of work to keep grass green out there. Hell even Emerald Canyon, which is supposed to be a golf course can't keep their grass green so its just something to live with.

Seems like the sprinklers are always on to keep it green at Echo. Good thing there is a river they pump it out of and no water bill. They were on all weekend and it wasn't even that hot.

Our house had grass around the pool when we bought it. I wanted nothing to do with it and replaced it with gravel.
