Hi,

We always stay in Havasu and launch my lil shit-turd out of Park Moabi.
But
Now that we live about 1.5hrs from the lower river. (Blyth)
I would like to try that area for a few days.

Anyone have a line on a nice trailer for rent, Airbnb or something like that in the area seen below?

Thank you
FT

Not a huge fan of the park . Another story

we had a place there about 18 years ago for a few years. Left the motorhome from easter to thanskgiving. when we got word they were sold we left. it was nice and quiet back then. have not been back since but ive heard its gone downhill. i dont remember any "tiny homes" but they had little cabins with bunk beds, no kitchen, no bathroom. we used them a few times for overflow.

We did the Rivera, now its called the Cove from 1983 to 2023. Loved the lower river. All the parks have their pluses and minuses, including the Cove. But any place with park models, or rental trailers is not a bad option and you can do it rather inexpensive. No ballers in million dollar dcb's with black socks, flat bill trucker hats and custom towels, but its the lower river of course.

Enjoy!

I keep a trailer in storage at The Cove and I don't think they have been renting out their park models for the last year or so. I could be wrong, but they defiantly aren't boushy.

Did a search on Airbnb and found a couple.
One looks pretty good and is at Hidden Beaches.

I rented that place about a month ago. It’s small and clean. It’s quite tight to back you boat under the carport though due to the narrow road and homes across from it. I have a 21’ jet böte and had to disconnect my Colorado and tuck it right up the boat to get it to fit.

Hidden Beaches is nice enough though. Quiet, has a store and launch ramp. Nothing bad to say about our stay there.

Our park is probably the nicest one down there but they don’t allow rentals

Hi,
I saw that place and have it on my list of possibilities.
How was the beach?
Or
Are there any decent beaches to anchor a little boat, have a drink and relax?

I have a place in Ehrenberg, and I don't think most parks allow rentals out there.

Hidden beaches does not really have a beach, but there is a nice beach right across the river from it as well as options up and down river.

FT,

There’s really no beach at Hidden Beaches ironically, but there’s a sandbar directly across from it that people post up at. The water goes down in the afternoon/evening so they may be slightly under water first thing. Hidden Beaches does have some cool umbrellas directly in/at the water line. That place is chill.

There’s also another huge sandbar literally just down river going around the bend that a lot of people chill at.

Blythe has lots of nice sandy beaches all up and down. We personally like going south of the 10. It’s amazing how much quieter it is just on the opposite side of the tracks.

The river has shallow area but I’ve never had any issues in my 21 jet böte. Just follow someone else’s line as there’s a lot of zig-zagging you do at certain spots.

Also note, Fridays are the low days in Blythe so be prepared to possibly boat elsewhere on that day. We usually hit Parker. You can check the water level here:

But be forewarned….the lower river is closed!

Perfect timing for this. I want to make a solo trip down there also since I live so close by now. My wife refuses to go since its so "rustic" but I dont give a shit LOL.

I wish I still had my jet, but I have a 20" little open bow now with an Alpha outdrive. I feel like I could take it easy and find my way around. I just want to hang at a sandbar and relax , thats my agenda!

Where do you live now man?

My ol' clam doesn't like to boat anymore either.
We may need to become friends.

How far south of Blythe. 15-20 miles? One bridge. Two bridges. Sorry that’s how a gauge how far down I’ve gone from McIntyre 🙄😜🤷

Which one is it!?!?

which place is it?? I was there a few weeks ago and looked at them all.
Why are you selling?
We’re space G1 directly across from the rec center , we‘re only selling because we don’t use it enough, we’ve just got too much stuff going on at home to get out enough. I broke my back completely gutting and making that place nicer than any other unit in the park, it has a lot of features that other places don’t. I’m really on the fence about even selling it but life has just taken another path.

I'm booking this trip.
If she goes, she goes.
If she doesn't............then I'll have a nice relaxing trip, that I will look back fondly on as one of the best I've ever taken.

I do about 5 solo trips a year in Blythe

I actually enjoy them a lot . Sometimes I’ll meet up with people
Most times I head way down south of the 10 and sit on a beach and hang out .

There are a few places for sale in our park at Vista Del Rio with garages next to the bar.

In your terms...
Pass a couple of sandbars on the left and right and that big one in the middle. Pass by that submerged rock, and then turn to the right and then left and then right again while passing more sandbars and you'll be there!

😁

ahh! We used to have a Crownline 202. Do you have a need for the table that goes into that mounting plate near the back seat? We still have ours, sitting in our storage unit
Hey Brother, Yes fun little boat! Made pretty solid!

I have the table, much appreciated. but if you end up throwing it out let me know! Could always use a spare as the one we got is a bit rough!!!
