OK Inmates,
1987 Mustang Track Car, last ran in the American Iron series with NASA Pro Racing but has been a track car all its life.
Started life as a Saleen body in white for the driver and S7 program that Saleen did but quickly after that went to Bondurant for many years. Since then it has been in private hands. I ran the car successfully for many years and built it to what you see.
It has a full roller 331 with a boss block.
AFR 165 heads and performer 289 intake with Crower solid roller cam.
Johnson external wet sump road course oiling system and C&S aerosol carb.
Full Griggs world Challenge suspension with torque arm, Watts & SLA front.
Shocks are fully adjustable MOTON's.
The T5 trans is built for Road Course and currently has an 8.5 clutch system.
Chassis comes in right at 2000 lbs.
The engine makes 340 to the wheels with 2.25 exhaust and revs to 7500.
My goal here is to see if there is any interest and if its worth selling as a complete Track Car or ?
