A client asked me to install a few guitars he has in some display cases he had bought. One is obvious to me but the other 2 I don't recognize. All 3 have authentication documents with them.

The obvious one.

School me on these other two.

#2 Hofner violin bass, signed by McCartney...that's badass! Used to play bass a long time ago. Not much of a Beatles guy, but that's a piece that is a crown jewel for most.
The Hoffner has a fantastic sound all it's own. Super rare McCartney if the signature is legit and it has the essential cert to prove it I see. Worth some serious $$$.

Wife has a Rickenbacker 12 and a Stratocaster I should get signed one day.
Rick Springfield next time he's at the Canyon Club. Thats her idol.

The autograph on the acoustic appears to be by Slash. The Mitchell is not an important or valuable guitar. It's only worth a couple hundred bucks

It's too bad the Fender is a Squire instead of a Stratocaster. It's a $150 guitar.

I think the acoustic is Buffett.

The Eagles one is bad ass. Felder, Meisner, and Frey aren’t with the band anymore, and two are dead. Shame it’s on a really shit guitar, I never understood why they do that.

Just saw them at the Sphere.

I thought the bass Was a Rickenbacker.

The acoustic looks like a Martin?

Can't see it clearly on my cell.

That second one might be Paul McCartney signed but I doubt he ever played it. It's a right handed bass and he played left.

Similar to what others have said, all of those are cheap guitars. Whenever there are giveaways, raffles, auctions, ect, of instruments with signatures they are typically the lower end cheaper instruments.
Not to shit on this guys collection cause it's still pretty cool to have signed guitars on display.
I always love going to a musicians home, 9 times outta 10 there's guitars hanging on the walls and a drum kit set up somewhere, my kinda home decor 🤘

If you really want to geek out on very cool, vintage guitars and their history check out this store in DTLA.
There's also an awesome documentary too about Norman and his history of suppling rare guitars to all the icons of rock from the early 60's until today. If you've grown up listening to rock n roll then this documentary will facinate and inspire

search youtube/normans rare guitars for their misc. Daily Videos channel

Nice post, I love all guitars! Attached is my son getting his PRS Multi Foil signed by Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace, Saint Asonia). Adam owns one of these, he was shocked to see it and happy to autograph it.

I'm glad you said it....the value is in the signatures. Would have been cool to have those signatures on some Gibson Custom Lab or Fender customs.

Pinball is 50% skill and 50% luck. I have a few in the house. one good ball is usually all it takes for a high score.

At the beginning of the concerts, Organizations sell raffle tickets. Shriners did this at the beginning of the Eagles concerts.

They are “Fund raising” Quality.
