Hopefully his last act on this rock to ward off the Tesla attack, wasn't in vain. Guy lived in a nice unit right on lake Rancho Santa Margarita, so he was probably no stranger to Santiago Road. Shame his passion for speed was suffered by others. Asshole. 🖕

I’ve seen it all the time at the tow yard because we cover sunset and PCH. The exotic convertibles are death traps. Not at all safe in a crash they just blow apart. The doors offer almost zero structural protection.

We had a Ford GT40 (2006 or so) that hit a tree sideways and blew in half at the dash. Dude rode it out still belted in with his feet touching pavement. He was hurt but lived.

In "street racing" instances, the other driver can be held accountable for all other damages. I wonder if they'll try to find the Tesla driver, with this being a fatality?

For sure the Tesla drivers fault!

Although I’m not being serious. No doubt there is Tesla video somewhere of the interaction that preceded this terrible accident.

Pretty sure that’s why he didn’t stick around! Not that it’s his fault but why wouldn’t you at least stay and try and help?

Ouch. Hopefully the other cars were smashed but occupants unhurt. RIP driver.

Many of us have driven in ways that could have ended like this. Gotta be more careful.
