Does unlimited data mean unlimited streaming?
yes....data is dataDoes unlimited data mean unlimited streaming?
Which generation 2 or 3?I got a question.. I plugged in the Ethernet cable that came with it that seems to be weather proof.. how the hell do you get it apart now?
Which generation 2 or 3?
We stream on all of the tvs in the RV and have had no capacity issues.Does unlimited data mean unlimited streaming?
If you can't push the button on ethernet cable end, then just pull. Some ends you need to push some you don't, at least on mine it is that way.We just got it a few weeks ago so I’m guessing the newest one?

I just installed my new Standard unit and had the same concern, read this thread, then watched a video online, and like Stingray says, you just pull in out firmly, the design doesn’t need you to release the tab that is inaccessible once plugged in, it’s supposed to release on its own.If you can't push the button on ethernet cable end, then just pull. Just pull on it Dave. Will come right out.We just got it a few weeks ago so I’m guessing the newest one?
varies.. in our area lately haven’t seen anything below 100mbps, typically 2-300, sometimes over 400. Starlink is for underserved areas or mobile. Our local DSL is max at 25mbps so 2-300 is great….Are the speeds really sub 300mbps??
Just checked it 263mb/22mbps uploadAre the speeds really sub 300mbps??
I have a roof mount I am about to off load. https://www.starlinkhardware.com/starlink-ridgeline-mount-kit-installation-and-review/Where are you guys mounting your Starlink units? Neighbor has his sitting in his front yard. Trying to figure out where to put it if we switch over.
Correct. Just tug on it carefully. It’ll pop out.Just pull on it Dave. Will come right out.

On our cellphone Jet Pac plan, data only includes a limited amount of streaming apart from text. Very little %.yes....data is data
I get that but you are referring to Starlink in the OG post....data is data as far as that goesOn our cellphone Jet Pac plan, data only includes a limited amount of streaming apart from text. Very little %.
There is small print concerning streaming on some data plans.

This is my current speed on the Starlink connection. I live in a rural area

A while ago had a couple systems that would briefly lose connection, affected A/Ps and cameras. Used 3rd party router(bypass mode for starlink). Solved problems. But have not heard or seen it with gen 3...Has anyone had a problem with Arlo cameras staying connected to the starlink ?It keeps kicking mine off
That's a lot of porn....This is my current usage.....It only shows how much data is used....They don't care what it is used for

Lol. Multiple computers, phones, tvs, security, etcThat's a lot of porn....
Everything has a trade off:Here comes the village idiot….
We’d like to utilize starlink at home as our sole data source, and take it with us in the MH when we go on trips. Can I simply take the unit with me, or do I need a separate plan for each?
Here it’s dropping to $399 very soon.Just got this in my email box. I have no ise for it but just posted this FYI

If I want to cut the cable and stream TV, does the roam unlimited plan offer the bandwidth to support this With decent reliability? We live in a mid-size town suburb of Tacoma…. Not very congested.Everything has a trade off:
If you get a residential system, you would not be able to take it with you, but at home you’ll have better speeds and more reliable internet.
If you get a roam plan you can use it at home and mobile but you’ll have slightly slower and less reliable internet.
The lower reliability is only really an issue in highly congested areas.

The bandwidth will be fine. I use Starlink most every day, I’m posting this response using it, and have heard it can be slower in congested areas but haven’t experienced that issue yet.
I’m on a roam plan and have taken the unit with me everywhere from Seattle to Havasu to Cabo San Lucas and zero issues while supporting dozens of devices at varying times.
Only issues I’ve experienced is where a structure or trees is obscuring its line-of-sight to the sky.
It’s been flawless. I own two roam units and both have been great.
streaming in HD is appx 2.5GB per hour. 4K can be 7-10.Is 50gb enough to stream a ball game?
And since the home plan is currently only $120/mo, and the 50gb roam is only $50/month. It seems like the best option for me would be to bite the bullet and buy the hardware for both a permanent home unit, and a small dishy for the Motorhome. Then toggle the Roam plan on and off for the MH for months that we use it. Yes?
