I will preface this by stating we did not use MYV, as hard as I tried, his guy Julian, didnt seem to want our business. ...whatever.

This thread will cover the last 5 months of pool and what turns out to be yard remodel progress.

Now I will also say that my wife just wanted a little "splash pool", "spool" or what ever the little tiny pools are called. After the last 2 years battling Breast Cancer and winning, if this is what she wants then so be it. Her budget was $40k. Then I got involved. If we're doing this, we're only doing it once. Fine, she wants a "little simple pool", lets do it.....one little simple pool coming right up.

The putting green was a complete after thought. I dont golf but it just seemed like something should go there. And it wasnt really all that expensive in the grand scheme of things.

The city made me remove my gas fire pit before they would sign off. Something about it not being permitted. Whatever, I wanted to upgrade it anyway.

Looks great. I’m sure your wife deserves it and loves it. If you gonna build it, build it right the first time. My wife wants one at our Keys home too. Not sure if I’ll be showing her this little pool.

The pool itself was 10 weeks from shovel to fill. It started mid june filled in August. The rest of the time has been us dealing with landscape design, plants and what not. The sod was just put in last week. We could have been done much sooner but there really was no rush. Just my wife deciding on what she wanted and where.

No that number went out the window as soon as I got involved. Fire bowls water falls, pebble tec with shiny stuff, stamped an stained concrete, .....you know all the important shit.

Just out of curiosity what did that run? We out our backyard/pool ideas on hold for now but will eventually do it. Wondering what something like this would run.

Julian doesn't own the place. Might have taken that grievance up with the owner before you slam him for his employees actions he may or may not even know about?

Not slamming him. Stating a fact. I would have preferred to have used him. But his sales guy got in the way. I've seen his work on here. Period.

Looks great ! What a nice addition to your back yard. Your really going to enjoy hanging out in it during summer time.
One tip add a tv to the patio area so you can watch it from the pool, it’s great to watch a game or a movie from the pool at night!

What size is it, app out side dimensions ?

I’m not taking it as a slam. We had one miscommunication originally from my understanding. Julian met with you guys on June 4th, and design and estimate was sent on June 13th. Never heard back, as happens often. Typically we don’t keep calling once design and costs given. If we get called back for changes or acceptance then the ball keeps rolling. Otherwise onto the next. If that’s not the case on your end, then I apologize

I would say the 40k budget was long gone, lol

Regardless backyard looks great. Build time good. Enjoy

Very impressive, well thought out use of the available area. Your wife must have been suitably impressed as well.;):D

65 not including fire bowls/waterfalls or landscape. If I would have stayed out of it, it would have stayed at the 65 mark.
