From what i hear there is another law they are going to pass as well. It lets illeagles carry concealed weapons and open containers. They have been complaining for years how they have been profiled for dui and drive by shootings as well.

If I recall correctly, I thought the official RDP stance on sobriety checkpoints was they are BS; and impounding a vehicle for a drivers license violation would be major BS, or enforcemet on any other violations other than DUI is also BS.

This law just helps out the idiot illegals that are too lazy to do it properly. The smart illegals (who actually want to do things right and get legal here in the U.S.), head down to LA and for $75.00 they jump on the "Drivers License" bus. The bus takes them to Utah and drops them off at the DMV. Get a driver's license and then you can come back to CA and get insurance too. At that point in time, they are completely legal with a DL and insurance. No risk of getting their vehicles impounded. There were already ways around the law, but this just makes it easier for those who don't give two shits. :grumble:

The tide around here rises and falls faster than the stock market.

My take is you should make an avenue to get illegials licensed. With that info you can easily track them and get all the taxes they owe. Plus you can then track their insurance, etc.

They are just driving anyway.

I say all this because the US does not deport unless there is a criminal record. So at least go after their money and get alot of it back.
