Just some photos for you.
So many people who never get off of the interstates think that "Nevada" is the scrub brush they see on the desert floor from the window of their car at 80 MPH on the way to and from Las Vegas, or along other major routes.
It isn't.
The rock face is deceiving. We were 1/4 mile or more from it when I took this pic. It is huge!.
Ya won't get here easily, I grant you this. It is a challenge. Some rough, and I do mean rough, trails, miles of them.
Even though I am still paying the price for this journey it was worth it. My back is a mess, and I will be slowing down for a bit to recover..
I tell ya what tho, as I grow older, I tend to like to stop in place like this, places that move, me, and try to soak up the entire sensation of being there. The sights, the smells (which are incredible) and the sounds of the Aspen trees as the wind slowly, ever so slowly, works the leaves loose until they fall. the little creek, moving the crystal clear ice cold water slowly down the mountains... For me, this is is an incredible example of God's Handiwork, and when in places like this I feel a peace that is tough to put into words.
I hope you enjoyed these.
I would love to know the stories this little cabin could tell. It won;t be long and all that will be left is the rock foundation, like so many we have found over the years.
