That was for sale in the forum here a couple of years ago. He did a great job on that boat.

That is a 10' Schiada it just has the non skid removed. It was built by Boat211 on here and sold to Tony Scarlotta in a trade deal ended up with Maximus on here. Those are his daughters.. The boat came out bad ass.

He built it shortly after Danny and I built "Short Cummings" nicknamed "Bubbles" on the forums.

Another view of it...............Seems to ride a little bit wet with Ben in the driver's seat..............

Oh, and Ben, why would you send your girls out into BoatCop's territory without registration stickers?

That boat is bad ass and I remember it too. Wasn't something up with the drives? Both were the same side or.something?

Yeah, nobody makes a counter-rotating lower for it so they both turn the same direction (props)

I still kick myself in the ass for not buying Billdos. That was a bonehead move on my part. I need to find one soon to build for my daughter.

Can't the linkage be changed so one lower is going in forward and the other is going in reverse, and then go with a left hand prop on the reverse one?

I looked at a lower of a 30HP and I believe you can just reverse the gear set so the "clutch" portion of it for reverse is in it backwards and it will work.. I didn't get too heavy into it, but I think it is possible.. If it's not direct it could be done with a little machining.

So how does it handle without counter-rotating drives? I would imagine it would have some decent torque steer.

Boat has hydraulic steering so there is no torque steer.. It originally would lean a little when running, but Ben adjusted a little manual trim tab and it countered it so it runs bitchen now.. I'd still make it counter rotating if it was me. :D

I thought that nobody made the counter rotating props for them. Can any of the prop makers build a counter rotating prop for one of these motors for a "reasonable" price?

Is there anything reasonable about a 30,000 dollar 10' - 12' boat? :D

Yes you can make them.. For myself I'd have the pair machined.

:moon: I got your delicious chocolate flavored meal substitute beverages you Canatard! So I get an unanimous phone call from Campbell Carl today. He tells me I need to check this thread out.

The boat was built by boat211. Traded to dick bag Scarlata and sold to me. It is a real show piece. After a few test rides in it I decided to make some changes. I raised the engines up 2" to reduce drag. I added some trim tabs. Ball milled the engine mounts and plate mounts. Used Joey Grose's aluminum turn buckles and Bergerons feet on the trim tabs. Everything was either chromed, clear anodized or purple anodized. Added about 50lbs of lead to the kick board on the passenger side. Relocated the gas pedal and machined a Key way in the shaft. Relocated the bilge pumps and machined some 1 1/2" aluminum bulk head fittings for the dumps. After a season of working out the bugs it is now a lot of fun. We spent last week at Parker and I put at least 10 gal of fuel in that thing a day. It handles bitchen and planes out quickly no matter who is driving... Carl...:grumble: Top speed on it down current with a tail wind and 100lb pilot was 34 mph. The twin motors make it a lot of fun to drive.:thumbsup Ron hill wanted to build some trick props for it and we considered counter rotating but I have enough shit to keep running so I will try to avoid going exotic on this. It has aluminum props and for a daily driver is easier on the lower unit than some wiz bang stainless steel dealios. My twin daughters named it Double Trouble... The mini might sitting shotgun finally got over her fear and now can't be removed from that seat with a crow bar.

Ben, nice description of everything done to the boat ............

You neglected to address the issue of running the boat on a Federal Waterway without current registration stickers.

I can hear the telephone call now....

Ring, ring ring...

Maxi....Hello?

BoatCop...Is this Mr. Ben Maximus?

Maxi..Why yes! Yes it is.....who's this?

BoatCop...This is BoatCop and I have your daughters in custody for operating a boat on a Federal Waterway without current registration.....would you like to come bail them out and get your (snicker) boat out of impound?

Maxi....shit! I'm on my way Mr. BoatCop.....honey, where's my wallet and keys? Damnit why didn't I listen to CampbellCarl and put those damn stickers on?

You know how this flagrant violation of the law ended up for Pat Minegar, don't cha?

:D

I would have to say that that price seems pretty spot on :/ Not sure I'm liking the location of the gas fill. Kind of an eye sore.

I sold mine for less and it was a lot nicer. Plus I had left hand drive, foot throttle, my gas full wasn't in the deck. Double axle custom trailer, Livorsi monster gauges with gps. Stereo. Etc etc. it's nice but it would take 5k to make it nicer. ;)

Bullshit, my tank is in the front with the fill on the side. I had the fill custom made to make the angle right.

You shouldn't have sold it for less is the answer to that problem.. Lol

I turned down 20 for my ten on the trailer at desert storm last year.. I was gonna out my 12 up for 13 the other night but Stacy pretty much put her foot down and said no. (lee said I was an idiot for turning down the 20 btw.. Lol)

7500 looks about right to me if it's as clean as it is in the pics and it runs well without hopping all over the place.

If I put the fills on the side of the boat like my big boat the gas would constantly be trying to come out the caps while getting on plane etc.. And it would be a nightmare to fill it up etc..
