WASHINGTON, DC – Last Thursday, a Maryland woman was arrested for shooting her husband in a hotel room in Washington, DC, and now there’s more information being released on the incident. The woman apparently shot her husband because she found out he’d been molesting children at her daycare center.
The woman, 50-year-old Shanteari Weems, is being held without bond for shooting her husband, 57-year-old James Weems Jr., who is a retired Baltimore City police officer and is now being charged with sexual abuse of “at least three children while working at a daycare facility located in Owings Mills.”
