This great shot was removed from the Kodak thread. I think it's worth seeing so I'm going to start my own thread.

While this shot depicts fornicating insects, it is a great shot that won critical acclaim on one of the family oriented photography sites I frequent. It is a showcase of the Sigma 17-70 lens (a rather modestly priced, high quality lens) and photographic ability.

Come on. Admit it... you're a little turned on by that.

I can't be the only one.

I can see why. Both those insects are males. Canadis homohumpae genus. :D

Great bokeh on that shot.

I didn't take either shot. Both were taken with Pentax dSLR cameras.

Two years ago, a guy who is arguably the top fashion photographer on the planet jumped from Canon to Pentax.

He has been quite a pro Pentax guy but in magazine article he was surprisingly candid. He said that one of the reasons he did it to prove a point. He doesn't make any more money with Pentax than he did with Canon. His point is that it no longer matters.

These days, reading comments like, "My brand blows away the others" makes me laugh. It is a world class display of ignorance.

I would contend this level of photography can be done with any number of cameras of several brands.

I've posted quite a bit of my stuff over the years. Here's a shot I took at the Trident After Show Party in February. You can click on it for more detail.

Perhaps you sould spend a little more time with Kilrtoy and his Howard Hughes thread over on PB. :D

I moved Performance Boats into a bookmark folder titled, "Gray Water Storage".

I hear the moderator over there is very "Last Wordish" anyway. :)

Oh and I don't like the way "Grey" is spelled over there. ;)
