While visiting my in laws for Christmas in the north woods of Cheeseland, we all piled into the car on Sunday and took a short drive down to a local distillery. The distillery is a cool little place that makes their own vodka out of wheat and barley grown on their own farm. The owner of the farm happens to be a fraternity brother of mine. Good guy and good farmer. His son started the distillery in 2014 and currently produce the American Yoeman vodka, and have a single malt whiskey planned for release in 2023.
While there, I picked up a bottle of their flagship booze and a bottle of Bloody Mary mix they sell as well. This isnt bottled there, but is bottled here in Cheeseland. Some of you may be way more versed on this brand of mix. My sil had a chipotle bloody while there. Pretty damn tasty. Being a first time visitor, they offer a complimentary shot, served in a neat stoneware shot glass. They also use the custom made stoneware glasses for certain cocktails on their drink list as well, all are for sale as well.
I‘m not Bloody Mary drinker, nor a big vodka guy, basically just a beer guy. But I think I can find the ability to enjoy some of this stuff. if you’re ever in the Rice Lake/Spooner WI area, I’d recommend a quick pit stop.
