A fathers proudest moment!

My son became a Los Angeles City Fireman yesterday (that's him closest) ..... it took a lot of hard work and years! ..... got to pin his badge on him and that's when things got really emotional!

Congratulations!! My Great Grandpa helped create LA City Fire. My Grandpa was nick named Mr Fire Department . And His Brother my great Uncle worked 63 years if I recall with the Department. My longest customer 3 doors over from one of my properties was Grandpa's first Driver when he was Chief and later took his position. Was helping him a few days ago and he recently turned 88.

I congratulate you for the support of your son. I would tell your son to shut up and listen. Especially to the old guy’s. The best thing an old fireman can do is help make a young fireman an old fireman.

Of course listen to everyone, protect his body - knees, shoulders, back, neck and ears…. Of course the ole ticker .
