As I've said in another thread, the only thing more dangerous than ignorance, is arrogance.

They may have less weapons, they may have inferior equipment...honestly, I'd rather we not verify either. What they do have, is numbers of cannon fodder. Pooh Bear would send them all to their graves.

I find it difficult to explain, my logic. I guess because I don't fully understand it. I have no problem with the concept of drawing blood, or violence so to speak. With war between countries though, to me it's different. Killing and dying on the command of world leaders is a frustrating concept. In the case of a war with China: I'd guess every one of us has items we bought in our homes that came from China. For many years, the Chinese people wanted to be more "American". We financially supported their growth, to be more like us...and now we want to destroy each other? Somewhat maddening to contemplate.

Here are the simple facts when it comes to war with China. China has ZERO chance of defeating the US on US soil. They do not have the Navy to move a million men across the Pacific and attack. They would in fact , be sunk mid Pacific, to never be seen again. On the other hand, the US does not have the ability to defeat China in Asia. China would simply throw millions of men at the problem until the US relented. (Think Korean War). The CCP has no problem sacrificing as many as it takes..... Even in areas like Africa , the Chinese would not prevail due to Naval forces intervening .

Most our parents and grandparents understood the risks. Society has been groomed to openly overshare all aspects of their lives.

this is an interesting topic to me.

lots can be leaned from in past wars.

Take WW2 for example, Germany had the edge in tech and used it to there advantage with great successes in the beginning. but the US had a much larger population and used that to mass produce war devices on a scale never seen before. our tech caught up, but in the end, it was our ability to out produce both Germany and Japan is what won the war.

China has a much bigger population then we do. If war breaks out.....its likely our tech would win.......in the begining, although not without loss on our side. If one or two carriers and their battle groups were lost....think how much TIME that would take to replace.......probably 15 years.

China also has the "kamikaze" mindset much like the japs had. you only defeat that by killing massive number of them.....would the american public have the stomach for a war like that in our modern times? i dont think so.

Ive seen many war game simulations where we mop up china, but it would take a huge effort on our part with REAL loss of life and military hardware.

maybe this is why our military budgets (that we know of) far surpass the spending of any other country.

and a very realistic outcome.

the reason is our naval aircraft do not have the range. the carrier must get withing range of china's formidable antiship missles for our jets to strike the mainland. sure they can strap external tanks on....but this negates the stealth advantages.......or send in tankers which gives the enemy visibility of your strike plans.
