Bought in April this year, 455 olds w/ 12JC pump. Needs some work, seeing if anyone has any recommendations. Located in Vegas.

Looking for used aluminum fuel tanks 96" long x 13" wide - 8"/6" deep (inner sides/outer sides). Fiberglass tanks were rotted.

Unsure of anyone in town willing to get it running, couple places I called said it was too old. Previous owners mentioned motor was rebuilt around two years ago. I haven't tried to start it, fuel was bad.

Mobile fiberglass repair in Vegas, good amount of scuffs and chips on the bottom. Took it off the trailer since it needs work as well, found the bunks were hiding most of the damaged areas.

Upholstery shop in Vegas, Henderson, BC. Looking to modernize.

Any input appreciated!

Need some pics of the motor.

Looks like you're going to be doing for yourself, as nobody else wants to look at it.

I'd start by seeing if you can turn it over by hand/breaker bar on the balancer.

Then, with the fuel and distributor disconnected, and spark plugs out, get it to crank and see if it gets oil pressure (check the oil level first)

Then on to compression check.
And a leak down test, ideally.
On to check spark.

If that checks out, I'd run fresh gas in another good can to fuel pump, and see if it will fire.

Fairly easy to run water from the hose on a jet setup, just the hose from the Berkeley going forward.
Doesn't need much pressure, either.
Only after it 'seems' to want to run, and only when it's running.

Could be an afternoon project, or a couple of weeks, depending on what ya run into.

Carb is probably suspect after sitting for a while.

But that's what I'd do
