We ran into issues with some Optima batteries in a friend’s race boat and found out they started making them in Mexico and they were kind of hit and miss. They would work fine and then get a direct short and no start. We had this happen twice but the third one lasted several years. I’ve heard some people having problems with Interstate batteries from Costco. I will look where the Interstate batteries are made next time l go to Costco.
