The largest center console in the world, 6500 Estrella powered by five 627 hp Seven Marine's. Coming to South Florida late summer. Would LOVE to see this beast!

3135 hp in outboards weighing over 5k lbs in engine alone. Damn thing weighs 40k lbs.

Midnight Express has a 60' that with 4 7 marine 627's will do over 70 and with diesel inboards and surface drives over 90.

The Center Console game is in it's golden age. You know your not in a recession when...

I'll tell ya what.. I have been around everything from top to bottom in the performance boat world, and I don't think anything holds a candle to the upper end center consoles. They are simply unreal..

I would really like to watch them build the transom on one of these. With 5 7's you have the equivalent of a Chevy Tahoe's curb weight hanging off of that thing. I can't imagine the stress levels that the transom is under going 70+ MPH offshore.

I really don't get the super big CC's? I have been stuck in crappy weather on a smaller CC wishing for an enclosed cockpit... Not to mention no way to overnight on most of them? As far as ocean going boats they seem to only be fair weather, which as most of you know can change in a heartbeat! I really think a walk around in most instances is a better solution... It is not like these guys are fishing on these boats, the only real advantage I see is the huge number of people you can carry? School me?

Dave, you remember that 55 plus monster cc docked next to Us in KW? I was all faded and like let me come check this thing out. Lol

Bar off the back of the second row of bolsters, behind that was as big as a dance floor. Full lounge area at the bow and full cabin under the helm with a stand up inclosed shower! Crazy

I grew up on the east coast and my dad always had center consoles because we fished. Mako's, Whaler's, Aquasports, etc., usually with twin outboards so you could always get home. There was no such thing as Vessel Assist then. I doubt people are fishing with these new high dollar center consoles and getting blood, guts and chum all over the interior, or do they just want room for a shit ton of people? I just dont get the purpose for a center console unless you are fishing, the concept being so you can fight the fish from anywhere in the boat. Not needing that functionality why give up sleeping quarters, weather protection, etc., unless you have far too many friends to fit on board otherwise.

Especially with 5 across the back, it looks like the outer most drives would be loosing bite in sharp turns. Is this true, and are you constantly adjusting throttle on the outers because of it?

Rad boat but man you'd think you'd just go twin 1350s and call in a day. 5 outboards seems to defeat the point of outboards lol

I really like the pied-a-mer style boats. They offer the seating capacity of the CC and the open boat fun that a CC provides with the ability to sleep aboard. I wouldn't want to live on one but you get the ability to do what you want on any given trip which is really what the CC is all about. It's true that you can hang vinyl and have a semi enclosed cabin on a CC but I wouldn't want to be on one in a storm. At the end of the day it is an open boat. Beaching, anchoring and fishing is so much easier in a CC. There is also way more seating. I wouldn't want to be in any boat in heavy weather, especially an open boat but they are built very well and I would probably be ok just wet and miserable.

Mercury with their DTS system automatically trims the motors based on GPS speed and RPM's. Check it out:

I feel the same way about deck boats. If you want to build a cat build a cat. The decks are a ton of wasted space in the middle of the boat and the bow. Your putting weight in a cat over the bow where weight doesn't belong. The CC is at least seaworthy. I look at it like the deck boat for the ocean except it can do a little bit of everything. I do look at the interiors of some of these CC's though and think there is no way they will ever fish on that thing.

I don't live in Florid-duh but I would imagine with those coastal waterways that have endless miles of boating you would want something that you can cruise comfortably for miles that would work in semi-rough to rough open ocean water. By cruise I mean faster than one of those cabin cruising barges. Those twin or multiple OB CC boats look perfect for that type of boating.

Different lifestyle it would seem from our west coast style of lake cruising.

Plus the girlies don't want to get their hair or fake bewbies wet with rain so in bad weather its time to find a safe port for their sake.

If I had the coin I would rock one of those bitches where I live. I can launch in the bay down the street and drive it on the bay all the way to the Delta and back. But it can get snotty here on the bay with the wind so I would need something bigger than can handle some rough water.

40+ feet deep V, twin OB power. I'm not a baller so its just a dream. o_O:p

Why 5 outboards? Because they can! Take a trip on the intercostals in South Florida....it puts success into perspective lol

South florida boating, even great lakes boating, is nothing like being on the colorado river. The big boys play in the big water on the really big boats :D

I think if you go for a ride in a new style larger CC big enough to have at least triples, you'd get it. They ride real nice, They've really taken them to the next level. I will admit, strong cross wind rough seas the people in the back seat are getting wet.

Mine you can over night in, I never have.

Freshen up intervals on 1350’s leaves a lot to be desired. Outboards will live 50x longer.

Normally I agree. But isn't the 7 just a big block V8 pretending to be an outboard?

Even taking money out of the equation I think I'd rather maintain 2 engines rather than 5. Plus somehow in my head I'd be more pissed if 1 of my 5 engines kept me on the trailer (lift, forklift or whatever they use lol) vs 1 of my 2 engines.

Either way wild boat

Fawk, I remember when a 50' Hatteras sportfish was the coolest fishing vessel in the world by a huge margin.

Now these big CCs make the Hatteras 50 look kinda old and stuffy. :D

Don't worry they have the GT70 now. Twin 2k HP is an option

I read somewhere there is an exhaustive list of maintenance at 100 hours.. I could not find what that is though.

I want to say 1350’s have 30 hour interval maintenance items and 100 hour rebuilds, maybe less.

The Seven Marines are comparable to typical outboards and many running around with a few hundred trouble free hours. They’re LS based motors and probably the best motor GM ever developed.

Neither the outboard or the 1350 are your average boater bullets but if I had fuck you money I wouldn’t shy away from the Seven Marine mill.

Diesel inboards with surface drives, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, seems more appropriate for a boat like this...no?

I've got to think service intervals would be more favorable as well?

Not to poo poo the Estrella because it does look to be a potentially awesome machine. However, not the largest CC -

John Cosker (owner/builder mystic powerboats http://mysticpowerboats.com ) built this monster 70’ CC custom one off probably 15 years ago for a gentleman in the Bahamas. It was fitted with a custom hard top roof that raised and lowered hydraulically. Things still down in the Bahamas. Bad ass. Inboard diesels, Big cabin.

I can’t figure out why Volvo hasn’t turned the 627 outboard into an inboard application. With what merc wants for a 600 sci they could make a killing.

I hope you're not suggesting that this 65' behemoth should be "Havasu" bound ? If I lived in Florida I'd be all over a CC, but only with a nice overnighter cabin. But after having spent a good many years fishing off the So Cal and upper Mexicans coasts, there's no way in hell I'd want to beat my way uphill in the late afternoon in any CC, even a 65 footer  (Although if I were forced, the 65' would be my choice :D)
