clean but to many doors most of those become parts/ donor cars for other impala builds. looks clean tho
yep...im right there with you on the 61 or 62 rag but they took off in price i just needed a few more grand get one then prices went to the "fok it ill never get one now" zoneIf that was a 2 door you could put a 2 in front of it.
62 or 61 rag is my dream car.

yes exactly what you said ,we are on the same page both for cars and the wheel selection hell hardtop project buckets are 10k and up im putting together a 67 rs camaro for the wife its her dream car once that is done i am going to get very serious about getting me a ride going. i told the wife a impala wagon is not off the radar either...she thinks im crazyI've been wanting one for probably 25+ years or more and have watched the market climb and climb and climb. They NEVER come down in price, not through recession, nothing. 25 years ago I could get a fully restored 61 or 62 for 15-20k all day long, same car now is minimal 40-50k to start. rollers that need full restore start at 15-20, basket cases are 10k. I'll get one someday, just might be a few more years. My wifes not to stoked on the idea but I keep telling her we're getting one. I like em lowrided or hot-rodded. I'd probably have a set of Daytons and a set of 20's.

No prob. I wasn't wanting it for my self just curious about it's desirability.hey brian sorry to jack up your more-door posting
But then it wouldn't be 7500.Would be nice only if it was a 2 door and had a 409.
My Dad's deuce that I now am caretaker of since his passing in April. Mom is keeping it in the family. He bought it with paint and engine done but un-assembled. As he did the assembly he made a lot of changes along the way. Very clean car

They'll never be worth what a 2 door is, but starting to see more and more 55 and 56 - 4 doors at car shows, and at first glance you hardly notice. That 62 looks pretty clean and will probably at least maintain value only so many around. It's a cheap way to get your foot in the door. I wouldn't go crazy with it but a nice daily driver. Also you can always try for an even better price.View attachment 604483 Worth anything?
nice ol pontiac love that gauge set up on the dash... please dont put any torque thrust wheels on it sleeper hot rod with white walls and capsI have the Pontiac version of an Impala. '64 Catalina 2+2, 389, 4 speed, 8 lug drums. Pretty rare (around 7K built). All original 73K miles car with window sticker, bill of sale, owner's manual, Protecto Plate. Car has some rust underneath but I have a complete parts car too.
I'd like to hot rod this car but it is too nice and original to do so. Going to get a frame off and repaint then reassemble. Might do a mild rebuild upgrade to the engine.

Although I am a fan of original straight spoke Torque Thrusts, this car will retain the rare 8 lugs. I have another complete set of them as well as the ones on the car. The only down side to them is that they are 14" rims which limits tire availability. I'm told someone makes 15" rims for them so I'll probably source them out so I can run bigger tires. You can totally see the GTO heritage in that thing. Cool car.
There was a company, Retromotive I believe, that was making 15 and 16" hoops for those drums. It's been a while so I'm not sure if they are still around. We've made a couple sets for customers, but I'm sure it would be cheaper to get them from Retromotive. Check your spare set of drums, not all years are the same, and don't change a thing on that car.
X2Just beautiful.
Sorry about your father. GodSpeed to him.
No other words.
