Looking at getting a 6 seater golf cart. Which is better, ezgo or Club car? Or is it a ford/chevy thing.

I have 2 6 seater EZGOs. 2007 and 2020. 2 of my friends have new Club Cars. They are nicer quality imo but also cost more. Majority in our park are EZGO Great carts.

The club cars are nicer or the EZGO?

I'm not a golfer, but I believe the majority of 6 and 8 place carts are more people movers than course carts. The rust on the older course carts can be extensive.

Check out a Club Car Cru. It is one of the coolest 6 Seaters available.

@lake p.a.l. golf cart guru.

The fit and finish on the club car and interior was. Nicer. My newer EZGO has custom seat upgrade. Stock the club car was nicer.

I had a mid 90’s EZgo, traded it in on a new one last year. The old one lasted 27 years and was still going. I won’t buy anything but an ezgo at this point.

In our park same deal. I have a 6 seater Can Am Defender. Was going to replace a golf cart with it. I still use it to launch ski and if I have a lot of people. Seats for 18 with all 3.

Bought a 6 seater club car about 4 months ago. Couldn’t be happier with it. I went into premier golf carts looking for an electric 4 seater and came out with a gas 6 seater. Owner talked me out of electric and said gas would fit my needs better. Pretty stoked on it so far

Some/many RV parks restrict golf carts to electric.

If you plan on leaving it outside, and washing it, at best, once a year, I’d look at EZGO. 😉

I have a 98 club car that just keeps going and kicks ass. I also have a 2015 ezgo that is a great cart also, has tons of torque and is very fast. Both 48 volt electric. Ford vs Chevy in my opinion. There are some new off brands carts out there making pretty big names for themselves. Icon is one that makes a really nice cart. I just get nervous about being able to get parts for these new ones.

Parts was a good question I had on the club cars. I see more ezgo then anything else so I wondered if the club car parts are harder to find.

There are a lot of carts in the Keys, I’d say 70/80 percent are EZGO. ClubCar’s are a little more plush in stock form, from what I’ve seen. I think they are a little more expensive as well. I think it just comes down to which one looks better to you, because they are both proven and both are easy to get parts for.

I believe the suspension is alot better on the club car Vs EZGO. Club car is A-arm and EZGO is straight axle.

If you are getting a new electric cart, make certain its lithium batts & AC drive = lighter weight & more power. There's some programmers that will allow you to turn up the torque & speed. I've been out of the cart business for 5 years so I don't know any of the latest & greatest tricks. Search buggies unlimited forums & you can learn a LOT

There was a day when Club Car was to cart of choice by all premier golf courses, but today it's a split between EZ Go and Club Car.
The quality of EZ Go has come a long way. I own both and would say buy based on the best deal you can get. I was in Costco Plam Desert yesterday and they had a road show with various golf carts, sorry I didn't pick up any information.

I just looked up the club car 6 seater price. $20K plus options. I think my buddy told me 12k plus fees on 4 seater.

The gas EZGO 6 seater I was quoted $12,600 plus fees from Rainbow and friends paid $13200 plus st premier but that included delivery to Echo. My newer 6 seater has quite a few upgrades was 15k plus fees.

Have you considered a 6 seat Gem Cart?

(Disc brakes, rack n pinion steering, full roll cage, 40mph with lithium and motor upgrade, better than both the EZ Go and Club Car)

Do they have any gas carts?
The negative with a gas cart is…….

The more you modify it to go faster……. The louder it gets.

The new lithium setups completely eliminate range anxiety. My cart will go 70 miles on a single charge. Which is way more than I will ever need. Super quiet, except for the whine of my high output motor, which I like.

I’m in this boat right now but with the cost of these things I’d almost rather get a Defender (since I don’t have the off-road box checked currently).

I was hoping you would say you have an ezgo with that distance.
I have a custom 91volt, 22 cell, lithium setup. It was custom made for my cart. It was around 4K, maybe 5. I don’t remember, since I have SO many modifications on mine. Mine is one of a kind. Fast as hell too. 43mph top end, but just spins the tires on the low end. I have to feather it up to speed, or I smell burning tires.

I am in several Gem Car Facebook groups. Take a look at a 2016 or newer 6 seat Gem. It is a different body style than mine. The facebook group can now get a 6 seat Gem Car to go 40mph, with over 50 miles of range. You will be about 25k for a newer 6 seat Gem modified with motor, controller, lithium, described above. It is just a better ride than a lifted golf cart.

Im trying to roll with a beer in the cupholder, 40mph is about twice what I need.

I actually have been wanting a 6 seater to cruise around the neighborhood in. Was looking at an EZ GO L6 Lithium like this one but they’re expensive.

I get between 50-60 miles in my EZ Go 6 seater with my lithium battery setup. I got it registered as street legal, we take it everywhere!

That is impressive. My last 36v with the trojan batteries maybe went 10 miles.

Not sure. I was only shopping Lithium

Pretty sure the Chinese carts only come electric. I wanted gas this time, so EZgo or ClubCar was the only choice.
