Working in Produce and having started early in my career, at 10 PM and usually off at 6-7 am, the Bar thing was a must do to unwind after work. I don't quite start at 10 PM any more, but at 2-3 A.M. start times, early morning cocktail service is Always nice. My Favorite Spots are First Cabin Bar in Arcadia, Classy joint and Horse Races are always a nice start/Finish to the workday. The Hi Brow in the foothill community has always been a favorite, pretty strong drinks and service. The Cove Bar in West Covina used to open at 8am and they did a total remodel post Covid and looks really nice inside, it's just cold as fuck and feels like you are in jail, but really nice bar with good craft selections (not into that). If anyone can share a few local spots, it's always nice to have on the radar for a little pre-game opportunities before rounds of golf in the AM.

Man, this takes me down memory lane when I worked Graveyard shifts in Vegas at the Casinos. We would get off at 7am and go the bars for someones birthday and to party a bit. Nothing like coming home at 11am, and crash out!

The Castle in Manhattan Beach is our spot after working a 12hr graveyard. Good breakfast, good looking bar tender, and dark inside.

Bringing a boat down from Alaska we got high centered in Port Angeles, WA for a day waiting for something, don't remember now.
Couple of us walked to town and decided on breakfast beers.
One the loudest bars without music I've ever been in, guess it was a mill town and the graveyard shift filled that place to capacity every morning, that was a trip. 👍

When my wife was in Anaheim Hills we would hit Keno’s for breakfast and a drink at the bar. The bar usually had a bunch of regulars that looked like alcoholics first thing in the morning. 🤣

I worked overnight/graveyard shift for 20 years, never could do the beer at 7:30 routine. Tried a couple times and made myself sick, LOL...

In Carlsbad our goto is the Golden Tee.
Classic 6am dive bar.
Gotta admit I’ve been there more at closing time than opening bell.
Really like Captain Keno’s in Leucadia for an early call.
Great bar. Cheap food.
Sadly it will close at the end of the month after a 54 year run.
I used to deliver beer there in 1979!

I have some great stories sitting at that Keno’s bar. The regulars are a trip to listen banter back and forth. It’s a fun morning spot and the food is good.

My hometown. That trip must have been almost 30 years ago if the bar was filled with millwrights.... Spotted Owl BS killed one mill in the 90's, the 2nd paper mill in town has been closed and opened 3 times now in the past 2 decades with the final straw being pulled just a couple months ago.

I remember going to breakfast every Friday morning after work back in the day. Nothing like steak and eggs with a Coors Light or a Corona. Lol

I grew up just down the street from Poor Richard's in in east Long Beach. 6A-2A every day. Don't think I have been there in the early morning more than once or twice, but it was always a good crappy dive to end a crazy night with friends when I was younger. Cheap drinks, great bartenders, and sketchy customer base (sometimes lol). The name amongst my friends and I devolved from poor richards, to poor dicks, to just dicks, to slippery dicks, then finally slips 😂

In highschool a friends mom would take a taxi to the high brow at 6:00 am and stay there until closing and then take a taxi home. She lasted about a year at that pace then her eyes turned yellow and she died. That’s a drinkers bar.

You'll see guys in there in full work uniform getting a quick jump on the day before work...

Kits is a good time. For the record, I've never been there at 6 AA, but have closed it a couple of time. 😂

the Beach Ball in Newport Beach
This was my 6AM bar. Nothing like rolling out of that bar at 9AM after a full night of drinking and having families unloading their cars for a nice day at the beach. Would typically roll down to Mutt's and keep the party going. Can't get hungover if you don't stop drinking.

Used to go to Crown and Anchor and get a full english breakfast and a pint of Guinness when i was doing overnight work on the Strip, or if i had been out all night partying, Always seemed like the times when i needed the relaxing atmosphere there was a fucking Manchester United game playing and the bar was going off the richter at 6am 🤣🤣🤣

Snug harbor in Lakewood was a Christmas morning tradition my friends and I had for years. We’ve all since moved away.
Anyways. They open at 6

I love kenos. Used to go once a week when I lived in YL.

Goat hill in CM opens early too. I went there once at 7am to take a friend to get their credit card. It’s a lot grosser feeling in the early hours of daylight. lol

Pink flamingo aka the dirty bird in Redlands opens at 6am on the weekend and was the spot to go the night before thanksgiving back in the day. It was like a high school reunion every year! Haven’t been in years but Wonder if it’s still like that today. Anyone from Redlands Yucaipa?

Used to hit the Terminal Bar downtown LA. Opened at 6AM closed the next day at 2 AM. (Not the similar famous NYC Terminal Bar).
Had a stainless steel front door with a riveted-frame porthole on it, neon above saying Terminal, classic, legit dive.
Loved that place.

The Atomic Liquors/bar on Shit street before it became trendy popular with the Millennials who seem to be arguing who's lived in Vegas the longest.
Went in once before the change the bartender was passed out and a customer was back behind the bar serving drinks.

Dino's $1 Horsecock PBRs. Buying a round made you an instant "Local".

Hard hat lounge changed owners and they did a deep cleaning. Never tried the pizza.
Always stunning women in that place.

Yea we never went down to Fremont St on that side of things until they hipstered it out. Lol. Used to be crazy unsafe there.

I did bang my prom date at the Fergusons motel though. We all rented rooms and handled business. That was a blast!

I miss quarter craps at the downtown casinos. We used to have a blast and get drunk for cheap! Then eat a great breakfast for .49

We have the hide away by me that opens at 6am, I grab a donut next door and see a few guys getting their morning hook and a smoke in right at open.
