Does anyone own a Forrest river XLR, I kind of like the one i looked at but not many good reviews. It looked way better than the Attitude i looked in as far as fit and finish. Looking for feedback from anyone owning a 28-29 Toyhauler with slide outs. I like bowties deal but yet to look at a genesis in person.

Definitely seen a bunch of the genesis trailers as friends is out group have them, multiple sizes. They all love them and I really think they build a better rig than the others.
Pablo is a nice guy from what i know. Only met him twice for a minute. If i am not mistaken genesis purchased pacific coachworks a year or so ago and have expanded big time. I wouldn’t hesitate to look at a genesis product. Just my .2

We have a new Grand Design Momentum toyhauler, been very impressed with the build quality.

The reality is when looking at Toyhaulers. There is cheap junk and expensive junk. It keep in mind they are all junk.

They all use the same parts to build them. So look into fit and finish and the floor plan that suits you best.

Our vortex (Geneses) has been pretty good. I felt we got it at a great price new and has been good. Haven’t needed any warranty work on it. I have fixed most issues that pop up. But the are small.

The one thing I don’t like is the sliding shower door. It’s heavy and if the latch breaks (ours did) that secures the door when traveling it will slide all over and break the rollers etc. bitch to fix.

I do notice on a few of the owner forums a lot of the complaining and waiting to get warranty work is shit I think the average joe would fix. I'm not going to wait 5 months for someone to fix a leaky sink valve.

We may be switching it up to a smaller MH beach runner for the time being, plan on retiring soon and spending days at the beach, I don't have hook up parking and getting into a tight driveway and hooking up and unhooking 3-4 times a week may get old.

Yea just 2 of us and a dog, most days just dog and I heading to beach, GF will still be working, but we will do some local stuff on weekends.

Alliance has exceptional customer service, they have a line of toyhaulers called Valor. The owners sold Grand Designs and started Alliance. We lived full time in a Alliance Paradigm 5th wheel for a year and had minimal issues but they were resolved immediately. Just my .02

We picked up a Keystone Carbon 358 this last spring. Typical things like trim coming undone due to the small staples that are used, but nothing significant. Probably the best purchase we have made considering we are at numerous MX tracks over the weekends with the boy. Simi RV always has killer deals and financing options.

We had a Forrest River product prior to this and had nothing but issues. Just do your research on the ins and outs of whichever line you go with.

We are dipping our toes back into shopping. Once I’m done with the classroom/ office build we will really get serious.

Anyone have experience with Heartland? Any experience with the Elkridge line?

I ended up getting an older MH for now, plan is to get a trailer at some point, don't have the space to make it work for now.

Went and looked at a Heartland Elkridge 33BHS in Bakersfield. That was a long way to drive to look at a turd wagon.

Brand new on the lot and the ceiling was so bad
It would need to be redone. Floor was soft in spots as well.

The best advice I could give as well the newer years seem to get worse and worse it seems!

My dad had a vortex. Same thing as a genesis supreme, when he was shopping those seemed to be the best built all around.

Then I caught fire twice while camping……
