Why not just put three blower motors in it?????

That’s what I was thinking....with 6 engines, one of them is almost always going to be broken.....and the fuel flow...

400R's are ~1000 hour motors if you keep up on the oil changes.....but yeah that's obtuse. I'd much rather have two big diesels and a pair of arnies.

Yes...if you have the coin, the Arneson's aren't an issue...and I'm sure they'd build it.

If someone builds one with 8 will they call it a B-52?

:D
Have you seen the "Stratoliner" dual fuselage heavy lift out in Ca? That's what I pictured...two of those CC's in a cat setup, big catwalks connecting them in parallelo_O

I was thinking two healthy Duramax engines...may not be near as fast, but wouldn't be embarassing either.

Just think of all the money in props:eek:

theres a few dudes on OSO that have been trying to make duramax or cummins truck engine adaptations into boats, nothing reliable yet that ive seen

Reliable probably isn't the issue...speed and power I see being anemic. Seen yachts and trawlers with Cats and Cummins, but nothing that would blow your skirt up...no speed applications yet.

I'm certainly not a prospective buyer, but there's no way I would spend $3M for an offshore center console with a leather interior.

Maybe I'm uneducated about it, but really? There has to be the occasional cockpit spray on any boat that runs in the ocean, and it just seems strange to me.

That’s probably his other boat.

I don't think the owners are too worried about it, this boat replaced their 42' cigarette CC with 5 400Rs... plus they still have the 34' MTI with twin 400's... and the 70ft+ sport fisher... and the 100ft+ yacht... and who can forget the 52' MTI with 1350's.

To say they are living the dream is an understatement.

At 60 feet, I would rather have a big, comfortable boat with two diesels and an APU and A/C and lots of room to party and live aboard. Cruising the Caribbean, you are never in a hurry.
It has ac. It even blows ac on the helm via gen power

I wonder what type of fuel is more readily available in marinas throughout the Caribbean? Diesel, or 87 octane?
