It is the exact same as the stock one on a suburban with the 8.1L Vortec. May be worth a trip to your Chevy dealer.

Also dont feel too bad. The older stamped steel teardrop style is going for $850 from marine suppliers. It's cheaper now to rebuild them.

Sounds like time to call @Instig8r to the courtesy phone......

Funny i replaced my enginge and every external component except the power steering pump cause i couldn't justify the cost in my head. So now i have a complete takeout 454mag -the power steering pump.

I know this is an old thread BUT just wanted to give some helpful advice to saving some Merc part money. Go to a parts store, pick up a staginaw pump for early model early 90’s Berreta, Corsica power steering pump. Tap the return hole with a 1/2 NPT, insert a stainless steel 5/8 barb with 1/2 NPT. Tig well the outside diameter with stainless rod. $60-$85 my cost in it VS Merc $500 part. Done! A lot of gas and beer money left over.

I saw those on eBay and that is a good buy. The problem was for me; I needed a 3/4 shaft where theirs was a 5/8 shaft for pulley. I just wanted to show another way to fix this with a quick turn around time to get back on lake. Glad you got it fixed.
