That is beautiful! I like the bustle, mix it up a bit. Is it me or does it have the profile of an MTI? Not trying to talk shit, just see the similarity. Beautiful either way, can't wait to see the first one built.

That’s what I thought.. MTI looking curves, especially at the back

Yep, and the little swoop up behind the cockpit.

Of course, these are just digital renderings and the real thing most likely will look a bit different. They always do.

Looks like a cross between a DCB and a MTI... not that its a bad thing.

I just wish they would do a widebody version. The 36 isn't a terribly wide hull

Simply awesome that something really new is coming out of Eliminator, styling looks great. Cool that a big dog West Coast boat being built that is not a DCB, looking forward to following this build to see some cool new stuff.

Wonder if they changed the bottom at all???? 36 is a fast hull, like all Eliminators, but does have some handling quirks.

The rendering looks like something that would be painted at TAOD or Visual Imagination because it just has that MTI look to it, so I’ll be curious to see If it’s gelcoat or paint? Overall, I think it looks great & should be fast as hell with Mercury 1350s. [emoji1305]

Looks a lot like the Morales low profile speedster. I'm sure it will be Gel, but wouldn't have to be if a customer choose different.

I'm sure it will be Gel, I hope @Gelcoater gets to spray it and gives us a look a the process for it.

Eliminator Late Night..

The deck was an 8-9 hour shoot.
The hull was 11

I didn’t read that as talking any shit?
And I’d imagine some inspiration came from the MTI camp among others.

And that was sort of the look the customer was after, the Morales profile.

However.

The guys in rigging had a few words about it that were more profound than my words in not wanting to cut it, or the Jose T crew who actually has to cut it.
The fact is if they cut it the 1350s don’t fit, at least not without it taking on an old school jet boat look of half the engine sticking through the hatch.

They barely fit in there as it is.
The bustle will still happen, but like Tank suggests the look will evolve a little from that first concept rendering.

That was the main thing I was looking at when I said I'm sure it'll look different when built - The rear engine hatch area doesn't look like it would fit motors. Too drastic of a swoop. Which is by the way, the reason I believe MTI's actually have that raise in them behind the cockpit is to allow room for the motors, not just aesthetic reasons.

Either way, very cool project. Really hope to see the build pics as it comes along. Always like seeing the build progress' from new boats over at Eliminator.

I don’t think Eliminator has done a 36 with 1350s?
It was about a year? Maybe a little longer, they had a 36 Coupe in progress getting (I believe? 2x700sc) but didn’t have engines in it yet.
And there was a 1350 on the floor for another build.
Fortunately, Kenny Smith had the forethought to pick up the engine and slide the 36 under it and do a mini mock up to see, stuff like oil pan clearance, where x would be at what height, etc, since both major components happened to be sitting right there;)

See, that's why you guys get the big bucks!! Bob might shit a brick if you had cut it down and THEN realized motors wouldn't fit! LOL
