I am looking at a 2000 32' Schiada Offshore Cruiser that is blue/orange/white closed bow with twin 6.2 377s. Boat looks like it was sunk/under water the cabin is water stained and the gauges look bad too, I think it had blower motors in it at one time it has sea strainers in it. Does anyone know the history on this boat? Frank

Call Lee at Schiada. I am sure he can tell you whatever you want to know.

This sounds like the first one they built. Lee would have it at the Catalina Ski Race as the "family spectator boat" with Ron driving it around. I am sure he would have some info on it.

Sounds about right. I got to work there for the summer in 1997, and it was pretty soon (relatively speaking) when they popped the first one out of the mold from what I remember.

It does not seem they made to many 32s, I can't really find any info on how the boats run the ones I do see have big motors and this one just has small blocks It also looks like it has grey speed coating on the hull? Frank

Absolutely.. :)

If they are the scorpion motors in that 32, that's a good running boat that will sip fuel as opposed to chug it.

Yes they are the scorpins, how fast do you think it runs? I dont know Lee but I know you see him alot Dave can you ask him about this boat? 2000 white/blue/orange just basic stripes, it is a repo and it looks like it might have been under water ot stored bow down and filled up the whole bow......water line in it all the amps rusted etc. Frank

I'd say the 32 Schiada with Scorpions would do between 65-70 mph on GPS. It's a big boat with high freeboard pushing air as well as water.;)

When the boat was new it ran 78-80.. Being its a 2001 probably an honest 70-73?

There was mold in the boat from all the water.. It would probably need a little work under the cabin. Lee said to call him if you had any questions and he would be happy to quote the factory parts for you and even update something's of you want. I'll pm you his cell number tonight (on the road)

Ok , thank you Dave so Lee knows the boat had water in it? Did he say it sunk or? 70 plus with small blocks sounds great. Do you think this hull is a better rough water boat than my Advantage was? Frank

Never been in that advantage so it's hard to say. Generally speaking though schiadas are very smooth riding boats.

I think they have built 27 of them. If you are in Havasu, you are welcome to go for a ride on mine.

Thank you for the offer. You like the ride? How would you compare it to others westcoast 32 footers? Frank

I love the boat. I honestly don't have any seat time in other west coast 32 footers, so it's hard to say how the ride compares. I haven't seen another 32 that has as much room inside as this one.
