What is the cost difference between the 300R's and the 400R's? I am surprised to see the 300's coming back into play considering the overall cost of these beautiful machines.

The new 300's are lighter that the old 300xs when you figure they don't need the oil or oil tank in the boat anymore...which is a lot lighter than the 400.

Nice looking boat and excited to see how the 300Rs push it.

In the conversation I have had I don't believe anyone knows yet because there isn't one complete yet. I have had conversations with what I would consider (2) of the top end outboard shops and both have told me the tie bar bracket and tie bars themselves are not ironed out yet. Now this was 2 months or so back +-, so they may be by now. That all said, I see that SOTW had pics of a statement with triples, but those don't require the bar. Both shops warned me right up front that supply was a HUGE issue and that it could be SUMMER before I actually saw the motors. I have opted to wait and run the 2-strokes through the year and hopefully next fall the availability will be better. I REALLY wanted to re-power the 25 Daytona before it came home for the summer, but just isn't going to play out this time......

Are the 2 little brackets where the wing plates bolt on? Its interesting that the MFGS can get these, but all the "big shops" I talk to about re-power just laugh and ask me if I want to use the boat this summer or next!

Edit.... looked again and answered my own question.

New question.... got a pair you wanna sell and rig?

Those motors go great with the lines of the boat.

The lines of the 28SS are super sexy no matter what engine pushes it. Great looking build ,subtle very easy on the eyes. Would be great to see pictures of this in the good daylight. what props were on this boat for testing?

My guess would be about 125 # per engine, or about 250# total between a 300R and a 400R.

Hot damn that is one sexy looking beast. I love how clean and simple it is. Some of the harder edges on the half cap really complement the shape of the 300Rs.

just plain sexy, the setup of the colours, flake/pearl etc., will keep this piece timeless, sometimes less is way more! cant wait to see it with the new floor installed, colors should pop

Cowlings look awesome tucked into the boat like that. Can you raise the motors?

I believe this is the first boat built with a pair of the new 300R. Would be very cool for RDP to do a quick write up on how this pair works.
