I have decided to sell my 1997 240 Hallett closed bow. I am the third owner. I just had a complete service done, the fuel injected 454 has less than 100 hours on a refresh done at Barrett’s custom marine. She sits on the original trailer that has disc brakes. This package is turnkey and ready to go. She has the usual nicks and scratches for a 25 year old boat. Currently located in northern California in the Delta area near Stockton. Boat comes with a cockpit cover, a full boat cover, and the original Bimini top. She has trim tabs and trim tab gauges, bravo one outdrive. $28,450

I honestly would have stepped up if it wasn’t for the purple, my wife loves it though…
Many people love purple, just not me- personal taste. It would have to go from a good/fair deal to a smoking deal for me personally to get past it.
I’m buying a guitar today that’s my second or third choice in color, like new not a scratch, it’s half of what my first choice costs new and there are no used one’s available in that finish.

it’s a closed bow. Different and not as popular top deck compared to the open bow.

210,255,270 closed bows bring all the money usually.

Edit: OP it’s a very clean boat and I’m sure a great ride in the rough.

Personally for me it would be the color, same if it was yellow. And if it was open bow it would’ve been gone. In my opinion…
I thought purple was a good color for a boat...of course I have a yellow boat so what do I know...

Exactly! Everybody has their own likes and dislikes. I am kind of boring because I like reds and blues and the most basic of gelcoat and interior graphics.

Have you had many that have come to see it in person? I think another setback that you might have is location. I drove up to Folsom from SoCal to purchase my previous boat because it was priced accordingly.

I thought that as well but I also went to Folsom the buy my Lavey, Yuma for the Cougar and my son went to Henderson for his Lavey. It seems like the price is right to take a drive. I think there is a big pucker factor in Havasu right now because of the economic uncertainty but other boats seem to be selling. For sure there is a smaller market for a closed bow in that style boat but for me closed bow is a much better looking boat Maybe a overhead shot would show off the style better. All of the pics are from a low angle and hide the beauty of the closed bow? Oops...more purple in my life...LOL!

The interior looks rough.
Closed deck 24's are desirable to the right people
If the ad states usual nicks and scratches for a 25 year old boat. I'm out. That means you are setting the expectation of it being a 25 footer off the bat.

Exactly right. Its not in perfect condition. It runs fantastic. If someone needs a GREAT family boat with kids, dogs, etc this is your chance to own a 240 Hallett.
F14 is willing to listen to offers. He would also work with buyer on partial delivery to SoCal or Havasu with agreed upon $$
