2023 guys trip Lake Don Pedro

Every year for the last 28 we have done a guys only boat-in camping trip on lake don pedro. Comprised of family, friends, co-workers, people we meet at the ramp, whoever wants to come. There was always a standing rule, no pics or video and what happens on the lake stays on the lake. Well now we are too old to get into much trouble, and our wives are past it all anyway, so we have lifted the pic and video rule.

Our group usually numbers between 12&25 this year we had 22. Setup thursday morning and pull out sunday morning. We have two brothers who are chefs that come out saturday with all the fixins of a great dinner, they dont tell us what it is going to be until they arrive. This year it was 2" thick ribeyes with sauteed mushrooms, a spicy linguine, and a grilled romaine sald with a sweet parmesan dressing.

Awesome! My wife's father is one of 8, 5 being boys, who all grew up in SoCal surfing as I did. This is October will be the 29th annual surf and camp trip to San Clemente/San Onofre where any male in the family, over 21, can attend. This October will be my 9th year attending.

I saw you, the Howard, at the Fleming ramp Saturday around 11:00am. Looks like, from the pics, you guys were camping just past the siphons at the outhouse. We were there Thursday-Sunday. Looks and sounds like you guys had a great time. Fair amount of debris in the water from were you were to Moccasin.

I was picking up the chef crew!! Yes we were at the outhouse, we had two jets suck stuff, and one outboard lost a prop. I did one quick pass from party cove and the rest of the time at 40 to dodge the floaters! Same place, same time next year, the beer will be on ice!!

No, we were at Fleming Meadows. We are there almost every other weekend through the summer.

Not that I’m aware of, other than “safe and prudent”. It’s mostly wake tractors and fishing boats on the lake now. v6toy4x’s Howard was the only performance boat I saw this past weekend.
