See post #93.What’s with the last pic. Ouch !!!
Damn those props, looked like just silt that came up when you hit too.
Well damn it looked good going by us!Damn those props, looked like just silt that came up when you hit too.
Still waiting to see what the wife got for pics. She didn’t pull camera out till Cottonwood, and by then i was babying the boat. Still not certain what the issue is but the drive was locked in forward only no neutral or reverse, I’ll pull drive this week, i did narrow it’s not in the controls or the shift bracket, praying it’s the lower cable not the actual drive
Yea Regor and i were side by side rolling into cottonwood and there was a set of probably 10 big waves. We ate the first few than i slammed hard into one, and i think my finger slid into the trim button, as we immediately ate the next wave then went to power out and no thrust that’s when i saw my trim gauge was all the way up. When we pulled into Cottonwood that’s when i realized no neutral ir reverse. It was direct drive the rest of the day.Well damn it looked good going by us!
It was a great trip, nice meeting everyone on the trip and nice meeting you @regor. We departure together at KL around 9ish when get to CW my son doesn't feel well since he had too much for the breakfast plus the wake at CW, so we decided to take it easy up river, when arrived to WB the skies need refueled and we took a break there after that we headed to HD. When get closer to the dam, we saw @BHC Vic and two other boats heading back and we keep up river we then meet the rest of the group is taking a break looks like near White rock canyon, we stopped there hanging out bs and then keep up river to HD. We took a long break at Gold Strike hot spring trail, after that me and my son heading back to WB refueled and back to KL. The total trip is about 125miles and each ski consumed about 34 gallon of fuel, I set cruise control between 40 to 55 most of the time, occasionally I let the ski breathe at WOT, lol.

That's correct, sir. The ski is stock and governed at that speed! Maybe some modification is on the way, lol!You and the kid are hardcore brother and it was a pleasure running, meeting and talking with you.
BTW, you were running about 67 when we were side by side!!!
Ya alarms were going off saying we were too close but it was just for a second for a picture and I moved back.We did this the weekend before. It is a great trip for sure! You guys went past the no boat sign pretty far to see the dam, we were able to get far enough to see about a quarter of it before we turned back.
Water temp was mid 50's willow beach marina and easily in the 80's 1/2 way back to Conttonwood. I don't remember the no wake through Willow being soooooooooo long.
What sign? I didn’t see a sign? There’s a white board on a cable, but i saw “Welcome to the Hoover Dam” was very hard to read that tho.We did this the weekend before. It is a great trip for sure! Oof. Exactly why I don't go to the dam any more. I'd be plenty angry if I munched even one of my Herings.Big thank you to @regor for the ride back to KL yesterday in his beautiful Eliminator 27 Speed Deck.
Coming back from the dam, we got squeezed out of the deep part of the river/channel about a half mile south of the dam and I tore up my brand new 33” Max 5s on a rock bar at idle speed. The amazing part was my depth gauge went from 27’ to 3’ before I could even think to turn left at 5MPH. It was just a few seconds from beginning to end as I threw the drives in neutral and shut the engines off immediately to limit damage. After getting in the water to inspect the props, I fired the motors up and idled back to the big beach just south of the dam where I linked up with a few members and discussed my tragedy.
Before arriving at the beach, I got on the CB radio and called Boat Tow US on channel 16 where they informed me they would be 3-4 hours before they could come get me so we thanked them and cancelled the call. Once at the beach, @regor then offered me a ride and said he would leave the beach in about a half hour to catch up with me near Willow.
We idled back to Willow Beach Marina, over an hour away, to keep from causing harmful vibrations in the drivetrain where I dropped my step dad, wife and 2 kids off at the restaurant there, tied up the boat, and hopped on with @regor and his buddy Jeff for a kick ass ride back to KL. Once back at KL, they dropped me at the courtesy dock where I ran up to the truck at the dirt lot, went and picked up the trailer from the first big paved lot, picked up fuel at the Terrible’s on 68 and then proceeded back to Willow Beach via the 68 and 93 at about 85MPH.
I arrived back at the Willow Beach Marina at 4:49 and the restaurant was closing at 5 so at no point did my kids have to sit outside in the heat besides the time on the boat where they stayed in the cabin.
FYI I offered @regor money for the gas and ride but he wouldn’t accept and instead I’ll be buying him dinner and drinks next time he’s out in the valley of the sun.
I’ll post pics later when I have better internet.
Uh oh , that’s not too bad , but…
Is that from your drives after banging the props?
@FROGMAN524 got his props, i got the drive on the way up to the dam, hoping to know the extent by Friday. Is that from your drives after banging the props?
Sucks to hear that. Hope it’s minimal.@FROGMAN524 got his props, i got the drive on the way up to the dam, hoping to know the extent by Friday.
Port prop is fixable, starboard is trash according to TCM.Sucks to hear that. Hope it’s minimal.
That was my biggest fear when I did this run and I had a 6 Drive and Merc cleaver to worry about.
Buy a new pair and learn from the experience.Port prop is fixable, starboard is trash according to TCM.
I've learned I've seen the dam enough times now.Buy a new pair and learn from the experience.

@RiverDave sure, we can do Alamo run in the winter. Our small group continues doing Alamo run ever since we did it in the first time. In the last two years we based camp at Alamo and run to Lake Havasu, stayed there overnight and back to Alamo the next day.Dude your kid grew up quick!!! I haven't seen you guys in forever.. Lets change that this winter.
