Cool video.
Why is this a unicorn?
He is using a sequential tranny, no one else does. Believe it’s 4 wheel drive. But different than the mason ones. Motor is mid mounted I believe, everyone else is front.

Some of the Mason's are mid engine with sequential trans as well. Same basic portal design as the Mason trucks but there are probably internal differences. Robby has called his truck the unicorn for a while. Chassis on this truck was built back in the early 2000s and I think he was one of the first to do mid engine with a v-drive and a 4 link. Prior to this truck, most of the mid engine trucks ran a transaxle trailing arm design like Ivan Stewarts T100.

IMO the most unique thing about this truck is Robby's engine package (NASCAR motor screaming to 9k ish rpm) and some of the weight savings things he has done, namely only carrying 1 spare.

Robby's engine package is like no one else's out there. There is no other Trophy Truck out there that sounds like his. Sounds freaking amazing. The others sound like a gargled underwater gomer piles exhaust shop build.
