Introducing the all new POLARIS RZR PRO XP. Take your driving to the next level with the most versatile, most agile, & most capable RZR ever made. The best RZR ever, and the start of a new generation made for the off-road’s most demanding drivers.

Pro Performance

The fastest RZR ever made at 181 HP with industry‑leading 22″ of usable travel and 6″ more wheelbase for stability.

Visionary Design

Designed completely around the driver with lower seating position, the perfect ergonomics and uncompromised sightlines.

Brute Strength

The strongest RZR ever made with the strongest chassis in the industry, and the strongest drivetrain ever fitted to a RZR. Plus 2x more belt life, beefy 30″ tires and suspension components.

Pro XP measures at 96” of stable wheelbase, that’s 6” longer than the old chassis, BUT it comes with better agility, including improvements in off-tracking, ramp over angle & turning radius. Without a single compromise, it adds straight-line stability, while actually improving agility and versatility.

By now, you’ve heard the high level info about the 2020 Polaris RZR Pro XP. This RZR is a completely new design from the ground up with an all new chassis, a new spacious cab and 181 HP. We connected with Pat McArdle at Polaris and got the low down on some of the features that you’ll definitely want to know about.

Polaris RZR Pro XP Clutch

1. Clutch is completely upgraded and 2x as durable

  • Airflow is directed to all four sheaves for better heat dissipation.
  • Secondary spins fast to pump more air.
  • Primary rollers are larger, more durable and fling debris away from clutch.
  • Primary is easier to service in place

Polaris RZR Pro XP Clutch Cover

2. Clutch cover with retained bolts

  • Clutch cover bolts have “keepers” so they stay with the cover.
  • Seal has been moved to inside cover so it is much harder to install improperly.

Polaris RZR Pro XP Engine

3. Engine has cooling line at top of head to better bleed of trapped air

  • Head has cooling line on top in between spark plugs to help get rid of air in cooling system.
  • Key off heat dissipates instead of heat soaking
4. Coils now on top of spark plug

  • Coil on plug instead of remote mounted ignition.
  • No more possibility of spark plug boot not being installed proiperly on plug.

Polaris RZR Pro XP Bed

5. Bed removes in 60 seconds with just 4 bolts

  • Four torx bolts is all it takes to fully remove bed for access to top of engine.
  • Bed is larger that previous RZRs.
  • Bed holds 30-inch tire .
  • Bed has 8 tie down points around sides, plus handle that can be used as tie down as well.
  • Two drains out the back of the bed keep debris from falling on engine.

Polaris RZR Pro XP Seat

6. Seats are a new one-piece design

  • One-piece shell.
  • Cushions broken up for increased air flow.
  • Driver’s side has seat new seat slider with more adjustability than any RZR before.
  • Driver and passenger seats recline – three positions with two-bolt adjustment.

Polaris RZR Pro XP Seat Latch

7. Seats are now latched in four locations

  • Seat latch is located on front of seat.
  • Seat base latches in two location in the front and clipped into the rear as well for a much more robust mount.

Polaris RZR Pro XP Fuel Fill

8. Fuel tank is bumped to 12 gallons with vent for faster and more complete fills

  • Air vent from inside tank to fill allows air to escape quickly for fast and complete fills.
  • Fuel cap is tethered in place so it won’t be misplaced.

Polaris RZR Pro XP Ride Command

9. Ride Command Group Ride feature now uses built-in antenna as well as cell for off-network riding

  • New for all 2020 Ride Command is group rides that do not depend on cell service. New communication antenna sends and receives position information for about 1 mile.

Polaris RZR Pro XP 12V Power Distribution

10. All-new 12V power distribution makes electronic accessory installation a snap

  • 12 volt distribution center under center storage bin.
  • Six plugs ready to go with 12V, Switched 12V and ground.
  • 6 gauge hot and ground cables also in same location

Canam still #1 in the Horsepower Wars. Although with the beefed up chassis and water cooled Turbo it will be pretty easy to tune the Pro XP up to the 230HP range. Technology wise I would give the edge to Polaris. Who else has a OH SHIT button? I will probably be trading up whenever the Long Travel Pro XP version hits the market.

Looks like Polaris is evolving to have a more Can-Am type appearance. Still playing catch up though.

It seems like a great car but I am a little underwhelmed considering what the rumor mill was talking about online (4cyl engine, new transmission, all new suspension design etc etc) where this just seems like more a face lift and fine tuning upgrade than anything.

Essentially it immediately fills the shocks with fluid allowing minimum compression. It would really be a lifesaver in Glamis. G-Outs can blow out shocks and backs!

I’m sure it’s magnetic and no fluid is being moved.

Moved some pickup points and slightly stronger suspension components = all new suspension

Refined CVT with more airflow = redesigned transmission

I didn’t think they were gonna do 4 cylinder... no reason to at this point.. maybe they will for the replacement of the Turbo S down the road.

It is just an evolution of the current platform. I do like the idea of extra room, better seats and more seat adjustability.

From the side view it looks like a kids 50, and also looks heavy / full in the rear end

6 inches more wheelbase is a huge deal, the redesigned suspension is to compensate for that. 6 inches longer wheelbase means the entire steering geometry had to be changed so it's definitely not the same old platform.

I drove it late last year. Its not a "game changer" , but nice to see another option to choice from. There are more equipped sxs's out there already, but if you are comparing same class units, this one is the best so far. I wouldn't compare to a 72" wide model, because it's not. But if you compare every other sxs in the 64" range, this beats them hands down.

I waited months anticipating the Can Am killer Polaris had coming out. I was sure that Polaris would finally have the answer to Can Am dominating the market and then this..... Looks like Can Am it is.

Is it a bit odd they didn’t have it or at least a prototype for the debut?

we all had the same thoughts when the xp1000 first came out, the xp41k wasn't introduced until camp rzr in glamis months later. You have some time to save some cash. :)
