Details on the boat and engines.
We are the 2nd owners, we bought this from the first owners 4 years ago. They ordered it direct from Nordic, in fact the wife was the model for Nordic boats that year.

This is a 2003 Nordic Flame with twin 502 big block Mercruiser engines, closed bow with sleeping area up front and the usual couches and closed mid section
The engine programming has been updated by Nordic to match the 525 programming resulting in additional power.
The drives are the heavy duty XR drives. We have 30 pitch lab’d props on the drives.
At Lake Powell, @roughly 3600’ ASL we can get to 85mph, though we usually cruise in the 50-60 mph range. We don’t like to stress the engines or ourselves at such speeds.
The engines have about 575 hours since new.
Both engines had the oil changed and new impellers in 2022.
Has an inverter you can turn on and off to power the built in microwave for cooking
There is a small sink for washing hands.

There is a storage area below for your cooler and gear.
There is a small closet we use for ski jackets, bumpers and gear.
There is a large bed up front for sleeping along with the couches along both sides. We added cargo straps to keep the gear on the bed in that area while cruising around.
Comes with the original factory trailer, triple axel.

As a used boat there are a few issues to know of:
  • The port engine burns a little oil and after a day on the lake there is smoke residue around the back side. Both engines have no other known operating issues and work as they should.
  • The starboard bilge pump isn’t working properly, port works great and easily empties any accumulated water. The bilge area is connected so water easily flows from side to side.
  • The seals around the drives leak a little water into the bilge due to age.
  • The depth finder is acting up and while it still works, isn’t as fast as it should be to give readings in deep water like Lake Powell, especially at any speed above idle.
Upgrades from factory:
  • We added a full Bimini cover that is stainless and designed for high speed due to solid supports both front and rear, with red sun resistant material. We also added a travel cover and a cover for the engine cowling. For anything above 65mph we usually take the top down.
  • The Bimini includes a screened zip on enclosure allowing for a fully enclosed camping experience.
  • The Bimini work was done by Sugarhouse Awning and Canvas in SLC.
  • Includes triple trailer wheel covers for each side also from Sugarhouse.
  • All trailer bunks were replaced with new wood and covering in 2022.
  • All 4 batteries were replaced with new in 2023.
  • All 6 trailer tires were replaced in 2023 with brand new tires.
