SOLD! SOLD! SOLD! I have a beautiful highly desired Bullet here offered for sale. This boat was originally purchased new by a close friend of Gene at Howard Boats new and I purchased the boat with the help of Gene from his good friend whom was having a hard time letting her go. The boat now has 337 hrs. on a Mercury Racing 500 EFI. I did the top ends last month at 335 hours. The work consisted of new Teague Hyd. roller Rockers, push rods, seals, PAC racing springs, Johnson Hyd. roller Lifters, 8 all new fuel injectors and both fuel filters, gaskets, ect. All receipts are included as well as used parts.
This Howard is equipped with Dana 500 Tabs (Purple Anodized), Dana Hyd. Hinges (Purple anodized), Hyd. steering, Gibson exhaust with Hyd. diverter, Howards rear bilge vent covers and dual Battery trays (both Purple Anodized) Sony Explode stereo and speakers, full bow cushions, built in cooler w/thru hull drain, GPS recall speedo, 4 blade 26P Mercury prop., Bravo 1 XZ drive, depth finder, new light grey Acrolyn full mooring cover with "Rope Ratchet" binder.
Let there be no question, this boat if in perfect flawless condition. It has been garage stored its entire life and adult owned. Mechanically it is perfect. I have verification of a leak down and compression test done after the top ends were completed last month and the boat has about 1.5 hrs. put on her since completion. You can eat off of the bilge. I followed some of your old posts about speed for this boat.... did it get resolved? figured out? what is a top speed that could be obtained on a test for interested buyer?

I got 70 mph GPS when I purchased the boat at roughly 300 hrs on the engine at 4850 - 4900 rpms on a 4B 26P Bravo 1 prop. I did the top ends at 336 hrs about two weeks ago and replaced everything but the cam shaft. We installed new Hyd. roller rockers, Hyd. lifters w/push rods to match new length. oil seals, Valve springs and gasket sets all purchased from Bob Teague himself. Results were still 70 MPH just as before. Cost with labor to do $2800.00. Fuel tank was close to full in both tests but Gene at Howard says they test out near 74 mph with a 4B 27P Lab prop with a little less than a half a tank of fuel. The boat runs strong. Maybe they just run a little faster out west with the Lab 27 and less fuel? Boat is still running the 4B 26P as always. I don't think there was ever really anything there to actually resolve. That's just how it performs with that prop in our conditions.
