I hate to see it go as it is the perfect RV for me, however, the wife wants to get back into a larger coach so she can bring more unnecessary crap along on our journeys.
Apparently, you need to bring 27 outfits and 12 pairs of shoes for a 3 day trip......That said, will trade up toward a newer Super C. 619 8 5 5 2 2 1 zero. Rodney

Very nice rig and well designed! Is the Lance camper a “permanent fixture” on the custom truck bed or can the camper come off easily and utilize the truck bed?

Not easily, no. You could get it off if you had to, but it would be a half day (or so) project.

My first rig was a Lance camper. I loved that thing! Once the started getting bigger, went to a 40' WW toyhauler...

Great combo, that lance is our 2nd choice camper but that combo and setup would be a great first choice that is for sure. Looks super clean as well.

We want the Eagle Cap 1200 because of the king bed and 3 slides BUT I need to get a different truck than the one I currently have to carry the EC, the setup in this post F450 and Lance 1172 which is one of the best campers out there is such a great combination, I FINALLY thought I had made up my mind on what I wanted then HOTROD82 went and had to post his rig up AND I find myself coming back to this post over and over again rethinking my choice.

I think a lot of people are revisiting this post. @CJKnoll0530 This is the rig I was talking about.

Just curious, were you able to save money on registration by registering as an RV? Bitchen setup!

Yes, and no.....My local DMV girl is awesome and always comes through. She says no problem ditching the commercial (pickup truck) registration BUT you must pay tax on the up-fit! It would take years to recover the tax so I left it as-is. She told me it was about $100 less per year due to the reduced weight fee as an RV. (which would make it only about 300 bucks a year to register) State Farm told me I'd save about the same per year with them registered as an RV.
Long story short, whoever buys this rig can simply change it to an RV when they register it in their name, you have to pay tax at that time regardless. The other good news is no smog required! 15,000 GVW and a 2001 model year = no smog and no cats, ever.

The eagle Cap is a really nice unit but with that center island setup it made it feel really small. I liked the more open Lance, especially watching TV in the rear recliners, just felt bigger. Can't go wrong with either of them though, as I said in my OP, this is the perfect RV if it was just up to me. It's just so easy. I even contemplated unbolting the whole setup and sliding a new F550 under it, that would be even more awesome.
Now somebody buy it before I change my mind!

That is pretty nice!!!
Where’s @sintax
This might be right up his ally.

haha this thing is super cool for sure

Its a little big for me, and I already have a truck :)

I keep lowballing these RV dealers on a new Northern Lite unit, I keep telling them to hold onto their hats, but they keep telling me they know what they got!

Free bump for a cool rig!
